As an advisor, coach and educator, the role provides one-on-one and small group support for all phases of the career and job search lifecycle, creates and facilitates innovative career management programming including large classroom workshops, experiential learning opportunities, and special events (i.e., panels, webinars, conferences) while sourcing expert alumni and corporate volunteers. Summary:<ul><li>Maintains accurate student ledger and ensures all tuition and fee charges are accurately billed to student ledgers.&nbsp; Processes and reconciles all cash transactions on a student level detail to provide an accurate daily cash position.&nbsp; Performs day-to-day operational tasks as requested from other departments.</li><li>Performs professional accounting activities for a specialized and complex assignment or functional area requiring application of professional, competent knowledge of accounting principles and practices.</li><li>Performs all accounting duties to include accounts receivables, general ledger, account reconciliations and maintenance of schedules.</li><li>Exercises broad discretion and creativity as to work details on assignments of a varied, diverse, and difficult nature.</li></ul>Responsibilities:<ul><li>Processes the daily/weekly/bi-weekly tasks of accounting systems and cycles.</li><li>Recommends alternatives to management when accounting data indicates trends or situations requiring action to be taken beyond scope of responsibilities.</li><li>Reviews and controls accounts and records to ensure accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with all pertinent procedures and regulations.</li><li>Maintains regular and timely attendance, reports to work as scheduled and assures time worked and/or time-off is recorded properly.</li><li>Maintains established department policies, procedures and attends required meetings.</li><li>Maintains confidentiality of all students, associate, and/or company information as required.</li><li>Adjusts to changing needs of Company operations or need to provide specialized or individualized reports.</li><li>searches, analyzes, and uses independent judgment in a variety of daily and non-routine decisions affecting assigned function.</li><li>Assists with month end closing procedures related to revenue, bad debt, variance analysis and other accounting functions.</li><li>Executes day-to-day requests specific to students accounts as requested from other departments.</li><li>Ensures correct tuition and fee charges for American Career College and West Coast University students are accurately posted to student ledgers in a timely manner.</li><li>Verifies balances between American Career College and West Coast University and Tuition Options, and Third-Party Agencies for separated students.</li><li>Research case studies to identify cause of discrepancy between CampusVue and Tuition Options.</li><li>Reconciles all receivables at a student level detail:&nbsp; credit cards, checks, Title IV funds, ACH wires, stipends, scholarships.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.</li><li>One to three years of diverse accounting experience with exposure to different areas of accounting and accounting principles, practices and procedures.</li><li>Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, practices and procedures in for-profit settings, internal accounting controls.</li><li>Knowledge of database, financial and accounting reporting computer application systems, specifically Great Plains and education/student accounting systems such as CampusVue is preferred.</li><li>Experience with MS Office and internet research.</li><li>Strong analytical skills and intermediate excel knowledge is preferred.</li><li>May not be in default on a federal loan or owe repayment on a federal grant.</li></ul>Compensation:<ul><li>$33.73 - $48.91</li><li>Great Benefits Package</li></ul>#LI-CM1#HEJDo you want a career that allows you to make a difference in other people’s lives?
