Job Summary
We are seeking qualified adjuncts for the Department of English and Communications to teach ENG-111: Composition I, which emphasizes the fundamentals of written communications including expository prose, reading comprehension and interpretation, and rhetorical modes. All adjunct faculty positions have as their primary objective to create a dynamic teaching/learning environment for our students, while contributing service to the college. Adjunct faculty teach assigned courses in alignment with the course description and course outline established by the department. Composition I sections run two-days a week on Mon/Wed, Tue/Thu, Mon/Thu, and Wed/Fri. Daytime (between 8am-5pm) and evening sections (after 5pm) are available.
Qualifications - Education
Master’s Degree in English is required. A doctorate and/or licensure in a specific discipline preferred and may be required depending on the discipline.
Qualifications - Experience
Prior college or university teaching experience preferred, as is evidence of scholarly and/or professional activities.
Qualifications - Skills
Ability to work with diverse groups of students. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
