POSITION SUMMARY
The Security Guard 1 position reports to the campus Chief of Police and provides general security functions that ensure a safe and healthy learning and working environment for all constituents of the College. The Security Guard monitors physical spaces, persons, and traffic to detect, prevent, report, and respond appropriately and to support the goals and objectives of the College’s strategic plan.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Holistic Student Support:
<ul>
<li>Must be able to demonstrate care for the well-being of students through supportive services by providing a caring and helpful attitude.</li>
<li>Monitor general campus activities and functions; observe and report questionable/suspicious activities; interact with persons on campus; prepare reports on accidents or injuries such as seizures, scrapes, or falls; provide vehicle assistance such as recharging batteries and unlocking cars.</li>
<li>Escort or drive a golf cart to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection.</li>
<li>Respond to medical emergencies by administering basic first aid or by obtaining assistance from paramedics.</li>
<li>Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.</li>
<li>Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when the switchboard is closed.</li>
<li>Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary.</li>
<li>Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or the presence of unauthorized persons.</li>

<li>Monitor and adjust controls that regulate building systems, such as air conditioning, furnace, or boiler.</li>
<li>Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent the passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.</li>
<li>Patrol industrial or commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.</li>
<li>Lock doors and gates of entrances and exits to secure buildings.</li>

Columbia State Community College is seeking qualified individuals to join our part-time Security Guard pool. Security Guards help maintain a safe and secure environment for students, employees, and visitors by supporting campus safety operations as needed.


Additional Details:

<li>Duties may include monitoring campus facilities, patrolling grounds, responding to incidents, and assisting with emergency procedures. Work assignments, schedules, and location will vary based on departmental needs.</li>
<li>Positions are temporary and based on the immediate needs of the college.</li>

POSITION SUMMARY Provides general security services to the campus and assists campus police officers with routine patrols and other security measures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Patrols campus by foot, bicycle or motor vehicle. Identifies and reports suspected crimes, accidents or activities of a questionable/suspicious nature. Reports accidents involving persons or property, reporting probable cause of accidents, pursuing appropriate course of action and informing proper authorities as required. Provides security for special events. Writes citations for parking violations.
Provides direction and/or instruction to faculty, staff and students in unusual or emergency situations. Participates in campus training for emergencies and for law enforcement officers. Monitors classrooms, offices and buildings for safety and/or maintenance concerns. Maintains and utilizes security equipment. Maintains department records and prepares reports. May testify in court or during legal proceedings as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED

Position Summary: To provide quality on-ground instruction (possibly online) for student learning and to maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom. The major emphasis will be placed on teaching and evaluating students in the classroom and laboratories.

Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Planning and teaching classes as assigned and as outlined in the course descriptions and course syllabi. 2. Supervising the study and learning activities of students assigned. 3. Submitting requests through the department head, program coordinator, or lead teacher for equipment, supplies, textbooks, and other instructional aids. 4. Evaluating the academic progress of students. 5. Demonstrating knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook. 6. Submitting course grades and performing other administrative duties as required. 7. Scheduling two office hours. For extenuating circumstances in which office hours cannot be scheduled, the adjunct faculty member must submit a written plan to the Dean describing how students can access the instructor. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university with at least 5 years of full-time practical cyber or cyber related working experience and must possess at least one current industry recognized cyber credential.

POSITION SUMMARY Under the directive of the Information Security Officer, the cyber security analyst will implement security strategies and best practices in accordance with regulatory standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct or coordinate vulnerability scans and document findings and risk mitigation strategies. Implement, monitor and maintain preventive and detective controls. Operate, administer and monitor network and host-based intrusion detection/prevention systems. Operate, administer and monitor Microsoft Defender SIEM. Analyze network traffic, intrusion attempts, activity logs and system alerts for trends, anomalies and potential security breaches. Analyze compromised computing resources to improve security design and policy compliance. Research, analyze, test and implement new security software solutions. Enforce security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security profiles. Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED
One year of experience in information security and compliance regulations.
