The Head Athletic Trainer will work directly with athletics administration, coaches, physicians, dietitians, strength &amp; conditioning personnel, and the university health center to deliver comprehensive healthcare and wellness services for Albany State University student-athletes. Title: Maintenance Technician
POSITION SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, performs basic maintenance and repairs to electrical, plumbing and other building systems and provides general carpentry, painting and commercial building repair/maintenance services across all seven of the College’s campuses.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responds to and completes work orders for various maintenance projects and requests in a timely manner. Performs basic plumbing maintenance, including repairing faucets, caulking fixtures, running clogged drain lines and rebuilding &amp; replacing plumbing fixtures. Performs electrical repairs, including replacing light fixtures, lightbulbs and electrical receptacles and switches.
Prepares, primes and paints interior and exterior building surfaces. Installs and repairs drywall, glass, handrails, window blinds, ceiling tile, carpet/floor tiles, baseboard molding, etc. Maintains and repairs doors, locks, closers. Repairs or replaces defective equipment. Conducts preventative repairs on an annual, monthly, weekly and daily basis as needed/assigned.
Travels to extended campuses as assigned to perform routine and preventative maintenance and to assess condition of buildings/systems. Maintains a parts, supplies and equipment inventory and advises supervisor when inventory needs to be replenished. Moves chairs, desks, file cabinets and other furniture and equipment. Assembles furniture as needed.       Utility/Grounds Worker
    

This regular, full-time position is responsible for the overall supervision and operation of the men’s basketball program. The position supervises the regular, full-time Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach and reports to the Athletic Director, in the Division of External Affairs. This position will participate in regular fundraising activities for the basketball program and athletic department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Responsible for complying with the rules and regulations of the NJCAA and TCCAA as they relate to the men’s basketball program.</li>
<li>Responsible for coordinating student-athlete recruitment activities for the men’s basketball team including, but not limited to, tracking the admissions and eligibility process involving recruited student-athletes.</li>
<li>Responsible for scheduling and supervising all practices and games and submitting statistics to the TCCAA, Region VII, and NJCAA national offices.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Make travel arrangements for the men’s basketball team and reserving DSCC vehicles as early as possible to avoid scheduling conflicts.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Encourage academic success, retention, and graduation of student-athletes. Responsible for monitoring and supporting the student-athletes’ academic progress through monitoring study hall hours, obtaining feedback from faculty and promoting graduation.</li>
<li>Supervise the volunteer assistant coach or other volunteers aiding with the men’s basketball team. Ensure timely submission of a Volunteer Agreement to the Office of Human Resources for volunteers each year.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Maintain equipment and facilities related to the men’s basketball program.</li>
<li>Provide timely publicity and schedule updates to the Director of Public Information.</li>
<li>Develop and participate in fundraising activities for the Athletic Department.</li>
<li>Participate in all DSCC athletic committee meetings, staff meetings, and mandatory coaches’ meetings held by the TCCAA, Region VII and NJCAA national office, and serve on college committees. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Prepare for out-of-town travel by submitting travel authorizations and any advancements in a timely manner and by providing itemized receipts and group travel summaries upon return to the college.</li>
<li>Coordinate all aspects of the men’s basketball program budget with the Athletic Director in a fiscally responsible manner.</li>
<li>Participate in the annual athletic recognition program.</li>
<li>Submit a mid-year and end-of-year program summary to the Athletic Director.</li>
</ul>
Working Conditions:
Restricted: Sustained posture or intense attentiveness for prolonged periods.&nbsp; Light lifting (less than 50 lbs), some walking, pushing, and pulling on a regular basis.&nbsp; Occasional exposure to risk is controlled by safety precautions.&nbsp; Frequency or severity is limited.&nbsp; Travel, including overnight travel, will be required to and from games, and for college or program activities.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;
Required Qualifications:
The coach will have reliable transportation and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Minimum Requirements of Education and Experience:

<li>Bachelor’s degree required.</li>
<li>No less than three (3) years of experience as an assistant collegiate coach or head high school basketball coach is required.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in a teaching discipline from a regionally accredited institution preferred.</li>
<li>Demonstrated record of successful recruitment of student-athletes at the collegiate level.</li>
<li>Commercial driver’s license.</li>
</ul>
Salary Range: $40,600-$50,700.
