POSITION SUMMARY This position provides a broad range of specialized laboratory support and guidance to full-time faculty and adjuncts for laboratory science courses.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Works independently under the direction of science faculty. Sets up supplies, materials and equipment for biology and chemistry laboratories, both for individual stations and for instructor-led demonstrations. Prepares specimens, cultures and slides for biology, anatomy and physiology and microbiology labs. Operates the autoclave and other associated lab equipment. Assists with and maintains inventory in the science area at the Southeast campus. Assists other campuses with inventory of equipment as needed. POSITION SUMMARY Administration of the Dual Enrollment/Middle College Grant programs and the Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for maintaining a thorough understanding of the state guidelines applicable to the Dual Enrollment and Middle College grant processes. Responsible for administering and reconciling the Dual Enrollment and Middle College grant programs. Coordinate with the Director of High School Programs to gather the information needed to award students. Serve as a backup member of the SAP and IRP committees for appeals. Job Summary
The Service Center at the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR), supports the System Office and Technical Colleges of Applied Technology (TCATs), Jackson State Community College, Southwest Tennessee Community College, Volunteer State Community College, Northeast State Community College and Pellissippi State Community College within Procurement, Contracts, &amp; Payment Services. The Service Center, Associate, Contracts &amp; Reporting is responsible for ensuring that all contracts and reporting transactions are provided in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with all applicable institutional, TBR, State, and Federal regulations, policies, and guidelines. The Associate, Contracts &amp; Reporting executes complex contract processing and reporting utilizing sophisticated technology to provide professional services. The Associate, Contracts, &amp; Reporting works closely with the System Office and the institutions of the TBR System and is expected to provide a high level of customer service to all institutions served. Depending on circumstances, remote work may be an option.
Job Duties

<li>60% - Contracts • Assists the with the processing of System Office, institutional and system-wide contracts • Assists in responding to inquiries from the System Office Staff, Council of Buyers, Contracts Officers, and other campus constituents of the TBR System regarding contracts • Advises System Office and institution staff in the preparation of contract documents • Assists with training and support for the contracts review and revision process • Reviews contract requests for correct form usage and completion compliance • Responsible for order form processing for defined third party contracts • Assists with entering contracts information, setting up new users, uploading contracts to and maintaining the TBR Contracts Log • Assists with maintaining electronic contract files • Assists with the monitoring and contract expiration and renewals process - (Essential)</li>
<li>25% - Customer Service • Communicates to employees and administration regarding contract related issues • Fields internal questions and researches contract processing concerns • Responds to vendor questions regarding contracts • Works cooperatively and effectively with other departments • Provides consultative services to System Office and institutions based on functional area expertise in support of contracts and reports related best practice implementation - (Essential)</li>
<li>10% - Reporting • Assists in training related to contracting and reporting • Assists in the preparation of institutional, TBR, State, and Federal required reporting, as well as ad hoc reports - (Essential)</li>

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of procurement experience OR a high school degree/GED and a minimum of 5 years of procurement experience OR a comparable combination of education and experience • Experience or training in Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite applications 
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in procurement or contracts in a college or university setting • Experience within a shared services operating environment • Experience in procurement or contracts at a TBR institution or state administration • Experience with Banner or similar ERP system • Experience with Jaggaer or similar procurement system

Title: Instructor, Biology - 9/10 Month (Term) - North Davidson Campus
POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in an equitable environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground day and evening, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide course materials to students. Submit updated course syllabi prior to the first day of class.
Regularly check your NSCC email and your departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours except on the weekend. Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions; administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines. Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Serve as academic advisor to students as assigned. Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines. This position will be based on the North Davidson campus in Madison with teaching assignments at the Southeast campus in Antioch. Additional teaching assignments are possible at any campus or site at which NSCC instruction takes place.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree in Biology (OR) Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Biology
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Collegiate level teaching experience.
Ability to teach a variety of biology courses including Human Anatomy and Physiology.

Title: Testing Technician II, Southeast Campus
POSITION SUMMARY Provides proctor services for exams and interprets placement test results. Upholds proctoring standards and rules for all tests conducted.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/ JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Completes annual proctor certification exams. Proctors online and conventional pen/paper tests. Interprets and implements vendor test protocols for students. Maintains surveillance of testing labs to ensure there are no violations of student guidelines. Coordinates with the Access Center accommodated testing space and proctor availability. Facilitates approved student accommodations in the Testing Center. Verifies accommodated student appointment in the AIM system. Builds appointment in Register Blast system.
Updates and maintains an appropriate manual of test procedure guidelines and passwords. Interprets placement test results for individuals and appropriate departments. Maintains security and accountability of tests. Processes, documents and reports testing irregularities and incidents to supervisors. Communicates necessary testing guidelines and information to examinees. Serves as a liaison between the Online Learning Office and the Testing Center. Collects, coordinates, and distributes web test materials to the main campus and to all College Testing Centers. Prepares detailed correspondence regarding proctoring requirements for various programs and vendors.
Provides focused customer service to students, faculty, administration and the public. Enters Accuplacer scores into the College’s Banner system. Assists with training of new employees to the department. May act in a supervisory capacity in the absence of the Assistant Director. Travels to other locations to proctor exams as needed. Oversees specific clerical duties. Complies College and Tennessee Board of Regents’ policies and guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY This is a full-time faculty position responsible for preparing and delivering quality instruction on topics in Culinary Arts in an equitable environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground day and evening, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Within a minimum workweek of 37.5 hours, faculty are expected to teach a minimum of 15 hours and hold in person and virtual office hours as defined in College Policy. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences. Utilize the College’s learning management system to provide course materials to students. Submit updated course syllabi prior to the first day of class. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Provide academic advising to students with an emphasis on retention and success. Remain current in the teaching area(s) through appropriate professional development activities.
