The Assistant Coordinator of the Academic Success Center is a full-time, 12-month position, located at the Jimmy Naifeh Center in Covington, TN.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Manage the Academic Success Center during open lab times at the JNC, including maintaining student files and security related to testing, tutoring, and data associated with the ASC JNC.</li>
<li>Occasionally travel to alternate DSCC locations for meetings and training.</li>
<li>Work daily with the ASC Director on tutoring, open lab schedules, Accuplacer workshops, and test prep instructions.</li>
<li>Provide assistance with recruitment, contract creation, timesheet management, training, scheduling, supervision, and evaluation of tutors at the JNC Academic Success Center.</li>
<li>Become familiar with and support students with using the academic software that is integrated in courses offered at the College.</li>
<li>Assist with campus events that promote the Academic Success Center.</li>
<li>Maintain check out list for ASC hardware and software issued to students and instructors.</li>
<li>Respond to email, phone, and other communication inquiries related to the ASC in a timely manner.</li>
<li>When needed, meet with colleagues in all other student support service areas to coordinate learning plans for students who are receiving support in multiple areas.</li>
<li>Use Faculty Feedback and Early Warning grades to reach out to students and provide them with needed academic support.</li>
<li>Schedule lab time for classes and assist instructors working in the ASC.</li>
<li>Run TutorTrac and ARGOS reports as needed.</li>
<li>Counsel, motivate, and tutor students located on the Jimmy Naifeh Center.</li>
<li>Serve on college committees.</li>
</ul>
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Sedentary: Desk work; travel may be required for college or program activities, trainings, and/or meetings. Insignificant effort other than normal movement. Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office settings. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•&nbsp; &nbsp; Associate Degree in one of the disciplines offered at DSCC.
•&nbsp; &nbsp; Experience working with students in a tutoring setting.
•&nbsp; &nbsp; 6 months to 1-year supervisory experience, preferable in an academic setting.
•&nbsp; &nbsp; Proficiency in Word, Excel and other Microsoft software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•&nbsp; &nbsp; Experience in a community college setting.
•&nbsp; &nbsp; Bachelor’s degree in one of the disciplines offered at DSCC.
Minimum starting pay is $34,400 annually ($17.65 per hour). With additional experience, pay increases to a maximum pay of $41,300.

The Patrol Officer (Police Officer 1) supports students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors by monitoring activity on campus for the purpose of maintaining peace and enforcing laws and supports the college by ensuring a safe educational and work environment. Northwest TCAT Covington Campus is the home campus for this position. However, officers are occasionally required to perform duties and functions at other DSCC or TCAT campuses.&nbsp;
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
<ul>
<li>Performs foot and vehicle patrols of campus to preserve the peace and enforce the rules and regulations of the college, state, federal and local laws, directs and manages vehicular traffic, secures and unlocks campus areas as needed.</li>
<li>Responds to calls for service; investigates motor vehicle incidents, criminal offenses, and non-criminal incidents; and takes appropriate law enforcement or investigative action.&nbsp; Monitors and reviews security camera recordings to assist in investigations and to ensure safety for the campus community.</li>
