GENERAL DUTIES: The Nutrition &amp; Food Service Training Instructor is responsible for the following areas including, but not limited to, teaching and supervision of students online; maintaining confidential, accurate and complete records on paper and electronically; complete reporting as required in a timely manner; participating in the continued development of the program, recruitment of new students and placement of graduates; maintaining an active advisory committee; and other duties as assigned. Reinforcing knowledge and skills required for entry-level employment as a Dietary Manager in foodservice. Instructors are responsible for best educational practices and the academic development of each student. This position reports to the Vice President of Instruction. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and includes a minimum of 37.5 hours per week at an approved campus work site for instruction of a remote learning program.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Dyersburg State Community College invites applicants for English adjunct instructors for day, evening, and online classes held in Dyersburg, Covington, Paris, or at one of our other off-campus centers. GENERAL DUTIES:
The Business and Industry Instructor shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
<ul>
<li>Serve as liaison between business, industry, and school personnel in determining and coordinating the following: curriculum needs, overall objectives, the scope of training, staffing, scheduling, organizing instruction, length of the program, safety precautions during training, and estimated cost of the training program.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain professional relationships with instructional staff, specifically in TCAT industrial training programs, to assist with the successful placement of students.</li>
<li>Work directly with local and state entities (including chambers of commerce, economic development agencies, workforce development agencies, local school districts, and elected officials) to determine and meet specific workforce development needs.</li>
<li>Actively seek input from advisory committees, focus groups, business and industry, and civic leaders to ensure that services are based on community needs.</li>
<li>Facilitate industry outreach and relationship management.</li>
<li>Assume other duties, assignments, and responsibilities as necessary to accomplish the strategic goals of the TCAT.</li>
<li>Responsible for assisting with progress reports and student outcome data reports for Business and Industry Training Programs.</li>
<li>Assist as a liaison between the TCAT, school systems, and industry partners providing information, tours, and speaking engagements as needed.</li>
<li>Work with industry partners to ensure appropriate outcomes.</li>
<li>Work with the department staff to teach and issue nationally recognized industry certifications.</li>
<li>Teach certification classes as needed at the institution, industry partners, or partner school districts.</li>
<li>Develop rapidly evolving industrial training solutions program.</li>
<li>Develop apprenticeship programs.</li>
<li>Implement On-the Job Training “OJT” tracking tool in future apprenticeship programs.</li>
<li>All other duties as assigned.</li>

Job Summary
Reporting to the WIOA Career Services Program Director, the Adult &amp; Dislocated Worker Career Services Specialist provides career and case management services to adults with barriers to employment, including dislocated workers. The position uses an intensive case management approach to help eligible participants increase access to employment, education, and training so they may succeed in the labor market.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Meet with prospective and active program participants by phone, in-person, or virtual meeting platform.</li>
<li>Conduct program eligibility assessments.</li>
<li>Assess client needs’ holistically and identify the most appropriate services to address those needs.</li>
<li>Leverage internal and external partnerships to refer participants for training and support services as needed.</li>
<li>Collaborate with partner agencies to support referrals and follow-up.</li>
<li>Maintain detailed participant records in designated data management systems according to program policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with other WIOA staff, participants, partners, and the community.</li>
<li>Assist participants with exploring the career opportunities available to them, the employers in the local area, and the training programs and educational competencies needed to be employable for a given opportunity.</li>
<li>Work with participants to develop a learning plan that identifies current skill levels, the skill levels needed to meet academic and career goals, and the instruction and training required to fill the skills gaps.</li>
<li>Coordinate processes and maintain documentation for co-enrollment, referrals, and transitions between the partner agencies, training providers, and supportive service providers.</li>
<li>Maintain working knowledge of local workforce development plans and labor market data for the area, WIOA and American Job Center services offered, in-demand occupations and employers, training providers, and job fairs.</li>
<li>Complete other assignments as directed by supervision.</li>
