Duties and Responsibilities:

2. Beginning and ending all classes as scheduled and covering all relevant learning outcomes for each course.
3. Maintaining academic standards and classroom behavior to ensure an environment conducive to learning, communicating with students weekly, and answering student emails in a timely manner.&nbsp;
4. Evaluating students using a variety of methods and informing each student of scores received on each assessment in a timely manner.
5. Using Cleveland State email for administrative purposes and responding to student questions via Cleveland State email in a timely manner.&nbsp;
6. Meeting deadlines for all administrative requests such as submitting personnel paperwork, acknowledging contracts, academic activity and assessment reports, and final grades.&nbsp;

Qualifications:&nbsp;EMR Instructor with the state of Tennessee and Instructor for BLS with American Heart Association.

JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with Nursing Skills/Simulation Lab Coordinator and faculty members in planning campus laboratory experiences. Responsibilities include: requisitioning supplies, coordinating use of software, scheduling use of equipment, returning equipment and cleaning lab areas, and maintaining and updating software.</li>
<li>Work with simulation/multimedia equipment, aiding students and faculty in the use of equipment.</li>
<li>Assume the responsibility for ensuring the maintenance and repair of simulation/multimedia equipment.</li>
<li>Assist the Nursing Skills/Simulation Lab Coordinator and course lead faculty in developing skills kit order list to submit to the bookstore for student purchases.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Participate in respective team meetings each week to better coordinate use of the laboratory.</li>
<li>Assist the Nursing Skills/Simulation Lab Coordinator in maintaining inventory, monitoring prevention and maintenance schedule for all equipment.</li>

<li>Provide technical support for all simulation operations including preparation, maintenance and repair of computerized manikins (software and hardware), task trainers and related simulation/multimedia peripherals.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Serve as simulator operator by programming, testing and running scenarios with faculty instructors, assuring that the facility and equipment are set up for teaching sessions.</li>
<li>Participate in event and scenario planning meetings to provide technical expertise on capabilities and limitations of equipment and facilities to meet course needs.</li>
<li>Understand the use and operation of different simulator technologies ranging from anatomic models and task trainers to screen-based simulations to full body patient simulators and virtual reality surgical simulators.</li>

JOB SUMMARY
The Adult Education Lead Instructor is responsible for assisting the Adult Education District Coordinator in providing a program-wide educational atmosphere where adult students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential by earning a high school equivalency diploma and or improving basic skills in math, language, science, social studies, and reading, and or showing level gain as recognized by the Tennessee Department of Labor.
Instructional duties as outlined in Title II of the Workforce Innovation &amp; Opportunity Act (WIOA) may include but are not limited to teaching, testing, orientation, counseling students, and other instructional activities as assigned by the Program Director/Assistant Program Director.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

<li>Keep current with all curriculum changes set forth by the Adult Education Division.</li>
<li>Implement and monitor classroom instructional activities to ensure a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.</li>
<li>Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and plans for improvement using the current curriculum developed by DAE. Provide training for applicable changes.</li>
<li>Conduct and or monitor staff in presenting Adult Education Orientation and Testing using TABE and OPT.</li>
<li>Monitor teacher and staff record keeping, ensuring that effective and efficient record keeping procedures are maintained through JOBS4TN.</li>
<li>Participate in local and state activities/staff development.</li>
<li>Ability to work a split schedule including up to two evenings per week.</li>
<li>Supervise classes at off-site locations.</li>
<li>Assume responsibility for meeting performance goals in applicable courses and assist teachers in meeting program-wide goals set by the National Reporting System.</li>
<li>Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students.</li>

<li>Prepare and present information to both small and large groups of individuals.</li>

JOB SUMMARY
The overall purpose of the Director of Internal Audit role is to assist the college in accomplishing its goals by providing objective and relevant assurance regarding risk management, control, and governance processes to college management and the Tennessee Board of Regents.&nbsp; This position reports administratively to the college President and functionally to the TBR Audit Committee through the TBR Chief Audit Executive (CAE).&nbsp;
The Director is responsible for developing the college’s annual audit plan and conducting internal financial, operational, and compliance audits as outlined in the plan, or as directed by the President or the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) Audit Committee.&nbsp; The audits are for the purpose of determining the adequacy of the institution’s systems of internal control for continuous improvement; risk management; fraud awareness; efficiency and effectiveness of financial, administrative and academic management; and verification of compliance with policies, requirements, and laws of the college, Tennessee Board of Regents, State of Tennessee, Federal Regulations, and accreditation standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
<ul>
<li>Direct a comprehensive program of internal audit for the college, reporting results and other information to the Audit Committee through the TBR CAE.</li>
<li>Comply with the Institute of Internal Auditors Standards and Code of Ethics.</li>
<li>Prepare annual audit plans based on discussions with the president and senior leadership and audit risk assessments.&nbsp; Submit to the CAE for presentation to and approval by the TBR Audit Committee.</li>
<li>Develop audit programs, internal control questionnaires, audit procedures, working papers, and audit reports.</li>
<li>Examine college records and test for compliance with TBR and college policies and with state and federal laws or regulations.</li>
<li>Meet as needed with management to discuss findings, observations, and recommendations.</li>
<li>Conduct audit follow-up work as required or needed, including follow-up audits for Comptroller of the Treasury findings.</li>
<li>Maintain audit working papers according to records retention requirements.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Provide required monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including status reports on management’s corrective actions, audit plan revisions, audit status, audit reports, and other information to the Audit Committee through the CAE.</li>

<li>Report allegations of fraud, waste, or abuse to the TBR Audit Committee through the TBR Office of System-wide Internal Audit.</li>
<li>Conduct fraud, waste, or abuse investigations as required and make recommendations for improved controls, operating procedures, account records, and system designs.</li>
<li>Assist and coordinate with the Tennessee Office of the Comptroller of the Treasury and other external auditors, as necessary.</li>
<li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships with college personnel, system-wide counterparts, TBR staff, and external contacts.</li>
<li>Attend TBR Internal Audit Directors meetings.</li>
<li>Serve on college committees and system-wide auditor group committees as required or requested.</li>
<li>Plan and execute a documented Quality Assurance and Improvement Plan (QAIP) in compliance with the Institute of Internal Auditors Standards.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Plan and oversee the internal audit budget based on goals and objectives congruent with the strategic plan, college initiatives, and internal audit plan.</li>

Adjunct faculty pay rates are based upon educational qualifications.&nbsp; The rates per credit hour for each educational level are as follows:
Master's degree $550
Master's plus 30 semester hours (ABD) $575
Doctorate $600
