JOB SUMMARY
The primary role of the Math Lab Tutor is to provide content-specific assistance in the learning process to individual or group of students. This position requires the employee to have excellent communication, social skills and the ability to adapt his or her teaching methods to meet the needs of the student.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
<ul>
<li>Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to provide them with academic tutoring to improve their understanding of content, at all levels.</li>
<li>Use various teaching strategies to tutor.</li>
<li>Monitor students while testing.</li>
<li>Provide insight into academic needs of students and suggest strategies for addressing areas of student concern (i.e., learning, classroom behavior).</li>
<li>Motivate and support students through positive feedback and reinforcement.</li>
<li>Contribute to the college-going culture through informal mentoring with students.</li>
<li>Tutors may be asked to assist with additional tasks to support various departments in the college.</li>
</ul>
EQUIPMENT
Work activities routinely involves work with personal computers and peripheral devices. Math lab tutoring involves moving between lab computers and circulating the room to proctor students.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge or willingness to train in Statistics, Pre-Algebra, College Algebra, Precalculus, and Applied Calculus.

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Title III Program Director the Title III Program Coordinator will assist with the implementation of the Work for All Students in Accelerated Programs (Work ASAP) initiative, which is focus of the college’s Title III grant received in October 2024.&nbsp; Work ASAP is a five-year project funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Strengthening Institutions Program, and this position is grant-funded.
The ideal candidate for the Program Coordinator will possess excellent customer service skills and be energetic, self-driven, highly organized, and capable of multitasking. While the Program Coordinator will assist the Program Director with all elements of the Work ASAP initiative to ensure the success of the initiative, the primary focus of this position will be assisting with the creation of a badging system for noncredit to credit pathways and working with industry partners to maximize prior learning assessment (PLA) opportunities for working students.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Project Support and Collaboration (30%): 
<ul>
<li>Support the project leadership for the initiative and work with college leadership across a variety of disciplines to accomplish the benchmarks established within Work ASAP.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Industry Partners, Academic Affairs, Workforce, and Student Affairs to establish noncredit to credit pathways and create Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) badging opportunities for students with industry certifications, trainings, and documented skills.</li>
</ul>
Badging and Prior Learning Assessment ship and Program Development: (25%):
<ul>
<li>Coordinate the implementation of a badging software to facilitate the creation of noncredit to credit pathways and create PLA opportunities for students.</li>
<li>Manage project records regarding noncredit to credit pathways and prior learning assessments, creating a badging system to maximize PLA opportunities for students.</li>
<li>Serve as the primary contact for working students and industry partners in Work ASAP regarding prior learning assessments and accelerated program options for working students.</li>
</ul>
Partnership Management and Program Development (20%):
<ul>
<li>Maintain and strengthen strategic partnerships across a variety of sectors, including industrial, nonprofit, secondary, and postsecondary organizations.</li>
<li>Assist program leadership with identifying and creating new accelerated and hybrid programs that will meet regional workforce needs and be attractive options for working students.</li>
<li>Support program leadership regarding the expansion of workforce trainings throughout the college's five-county service region: Bradley, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, and Polk counties.</li>
</ul>
Marketing and Recruiting (20%):
<ul>
<li>Assist program leadership with marketing and recruiting efforts related to Work ASAP; identify relevant strategies and collaborate on the creation of project materials.</li>
<li>Represent the college and program in a professional manner, being visible and available to internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.</li>

Project Management and Oversight (30%):

<li>Provide leadership for the initiative and work with college leadership across a variety of disciplines to accomplish the benchmarks established within the Work ASAP project.</li>
<li>Manage project budgets and reporting duties, coordinating records with the college's Business Office and Grants Director to ensure compliance with US DOE regulations.</li>
<li>Serve as supervisor for the Program Coordinator position (also funded by the grant), and work closely with the Program Coordinator to recruit adult and working students to the college.</li>

Partnership and Program Development: (25%):

<li>Form, develop, and strengthen strategic partnerships across a variety of sectors, including industrial, nonprofit, secondary, and postsecondary organizations.</li>
<li>Work with college leadership to identify and create new accelerated and hybrid programs that will meet regional workforce needs and be attractive options for working students.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Industry Partners, Academic Affairs, Workforce, and Student Affairs to establish noncredit to credit pathways and create Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) badging opportunities for students with industry certifications, trainings, and documented skills.</li>

<li>Support the expansion of workforce trainings throughout the college's five-county service region of Bradley, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, and Polk counties by working closely with industry partners, Workforce Development, and Adult Education.</li>

JOB SUMMARY
The Cataloging and Systems Librarian fosters critical thinking and lifelong learning skills by providing access to resources that promote success.&nbsp; Primary responsibilities ensure that both physical and digital library resources are accessible to individuals through the selection and purchase of materials, creation and curation of metadata, and maintenance of library-related systems to ensure optimal functionality.

Library Systems Maintenance (25%)

<li>Serve as the Alma and Primo Certified Administrator: configuring systems to meet Cleveland State’s needs, implementing Alma extensions, using Ex Libris Developer Network tools and APIs to design and maintain front-end (Primo) customizations, maximizing workflows to increase efficiency, monitoring system performance, and coordinating system upgrades.</li>
<li>Provide quality control oversight and performs maintenance activities for LibApps and other library software, suggest and coordinate system software and hardware upgrades, and train staff on system updates and upgrades.</li>
<li>Diagnose and correct issues with database and/or library catalog access, and patch online resources that are inaccessible or malfunctioning.</li>
<li>Coordinate with the IT department and vendors to create seamless authorizations for on- and off-site access and address larger-scale access issues.</li>

<li>Perform original and copy cataloging of library materials in all formats and maintain batch processing of metadata for electronic resources.</li>

CLEVELAND STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE is accepting applications for the following position: Adjunct Faculty Pool - Advanced Technologies/Plumbing
Instructors provide quality instruction for student learning and maintain a positive learning environment in the class. The major emphasis for instructors is on teaching and evaluating students in the course. Classes are taught in a variety of formats and at several different locations, as well as online. Instructors also communicate with students between classes and are responsible for several administrative duties such as reporting on academic activity and submitting final grades.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Planning and teaching classes as assigned and as outlined in the course descriptions and course syllabi and departmental guidelines.
2. Beginning and ending all classes as scheduled and covering all relevant learning outcomes for each course.
3. Maintaining academic standards and classroom behavior to ensure an environment conducive to learning, communicating with students weekly, and answering student emails in a timely manner.&nbsp;
4. Evaluating students using a variety of methods and informing each student of scores received on each assessment in a timely manner.
5. Using Cleveland State email for administrative purposes and responding to student questions via Cleveland State email in a timely manner.&nbsp;
6. Meeting deadlines for all administrative requests such as submitting personnel paperwork, acknowledging contracts, academic activity and assessment reports, and final grades.&nbsp;
7. Submitting requests through the department chair, program coordinator/director, or lead teacher for equipment, supplies, textbooks, and other instructional aids.
Qualifications:
Associate degree or higher in a qualifying field along with demonstrated competencies in plumbing or a closely related field.&nbsp; Candidates without the Associate degree may be considered with documentation of the following:&nbsp; * professional certification (national, regional or state) * professional employment/experience&nbsp; * teaching excellence * other competencies and achievements that contribute to effective teaching and student learning outcomes.
Availability/Closing Date:&nbsp;This posting is not a guarantee of an open position. Applications for adjunct faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed by the department when openings become available. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring and summer.
