A full-time faculty is responsible for delivering instruction in various formats (on-line, in person, video-conferencing, or any combination of methods) in the discipline(s) for which she/he has been employed. Instruction may take place at any of the college’s campuses, at a clinical partner facility, or at a designated temporary location. Essential Functions:

Education, Training and Experience Required:

JOB OBJECTIVE:
The successful candidate will be expected to teach Associate of Applied Science-level Aviation Maintenance Technology (AVIT) classes and laboratories; create instructional materials and laboratory experiences; promote the program through local, regional and national engagement; participate in program assessment activities related to accreditations (e.g., SACS, ATMAE, NIMS), certification (FAA) and grant parameters; perform student advising; and complete other departmental services as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

<li>Teach Aviation Technology classes (General, Airframe, and Power Plant).</li>
<li>Create instructional materials and laboratory experiences, teach courses at a variety of times in response to institutional needs, evaluate students’ progress toward achievement of stated student learning outcomes, and inform them promptly of their progress in the course.</li>
<li>Contribute to the management of labs and equipment, develop or update course syllabi for courses within the college guidelines and curriculum as necessary to remain current with the industry, specifically FAA requirements, and review, evaluate, and recommend student learning materials.</li>
<li>Work with other faculty, staff, and local industries and organizations to continually refine and improve the Aviation Technology program. <li>An associate’s degree in aviation maintenance or a closely related field from a regionally accredited college/university, and professional experience sufficient to meet SACSCOC criteria. Faculty members may have other professional credentials that qualify them in lieu of academic credentials. Academic deans must submit documentation justifying alternative credentials for approval by the chief academic officer and the SACSCOC liaison.</li>
<li>Minimum of one year of relevant industrial experience and/or experience teaching a range of aviation-based classes.</li>
<li>FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification is required.</li>
<li>Experience with CFR 14 part 145.</li>

General Function:&nbsp;
Oversees the infrastructure, platforms, and initiatives that support non-credit Business-to-Consumer (B2C) growth and consumer training programs. This position serves as local administrator for multiple learning and enrollment systems, curates third-party offerings, executes go-to-market plans, and ensures a seamless learner experience. The Manager also collaborates across departments to support Business-to-Business (B2B) growth, contributes to proprietary course production, and maintains operational excellence to expand community engagement and non-credit enrollment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree earned from a regionally accredited institution and at least three years of experience in higher education, workforce development, training, or related B2B/B2C marketing roles.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

JOB LOCATION
The primary workplace for this position is the Health and Science Building at Cleveland State Community College in Cleveland, Tennessee. Occasional travel to off-campus instructional sites within the College’s five-county service area may be required. The weekly work schedule will be determined by program and course needs and may vary from day to day. Some evening hours may also be necessary.

Master’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in a qualifying field or Master’s degree or higher from an accredited institution with 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields strongly preferred.&nbsp;
For limited number of non-transfer courses, a Bachelor's degree in a qualifying field with two or more of the following may be considered: documentation of professional certification (national, regional or state), documentation of professional employment, documentation of teaching excellence, documentation of research and publication, documentation of relevant additional coursework beyond Bachelor's degree equivalent to 18 graduate semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU's, military, vendor training, etc.
Availability/Closing Date:&nbsp;This posting is not a guarantee of an open position. Applications for adjunct faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed by the department when openings become available. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring and summer. Postings close yearly on October 31; to maintain your application within the system, you will need to re-apply each year.
Application packet should consist of a cover letter, a transcript, a resume/CV, and three references to be considered for an Adjunct Faculty position. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for the application process. Official transcripts will be required upon hire. Applicants may be subject to a background check.&nbsp;
Adjunct faculty pay rates are based upon educational qualifications.&nbsp; The rates per credit hour for each educational level are as follows:
Master's degree $550
Master's plus 30 semester hours (ABD) $575
Doctorate $600
