Job Purpose:&nbsp; A full-time faculty is responsible for delivering instruction in various formats (on-line, in person, video-conferencing, or any combination of methods) in the discipline(s) for which she/he has been employed. Veterinary Technology Faculty Job Purpose: A full-time faculty position with responsibility for assisting the Director and delivering instruction in the Veterinary Technology Program

      Astronomy/Physics Faculty
    

Columbia State Community College is seeking a dedicated Dual Enrollment English Faculty member to teach college-level English courses to high school students. This full-time, 9-month term position involves delivering instruction across multiple formats, including in-person, online, hybrid, and live streaming, while fostering student success and engagement. Faculty will also participate in curriculum development, academic advising, and institutional service.
Job Purpose:&nbsp; A full-time faculty is responsible for delivering instruction in various formats (on-line, in person, video-conferencing, or any combination of methods) in the discipline(s) for which she/he has been employed. Instruction may take place at any of the college’s campuses, at a clinical partner facility, or at a designated temporary location. Faculty also provide academic advising and facilitate student success. Technology tools are routinely used to communicate with and support students.
Faculty participate in divisional and institutional activities related to the college’s mission, engage with communities of interest, and promote college programs.
All positions are onsite-in-person unless specifically noted.
This is a 9-month term position located on the Williamson Campus.&nbsp;
Essential Functions:

<li>Within a minimum workweek of 37.5 hours, faculty are expected to teach a minimum of 15 hours and hold in person and virtual office hours as defined in College Policy.</li>
<li>Maintain an environment conducive to learning.</li>
<li>Be responsible for course and, when appropriate, laboratory preparation.</li>
<li>Actively participate in curriculum and program development, revision and evaluation.</li>
<li>Provide academic advising to students with an emphasis on retention and success.</li>
<li>Remain current in the teaching area(s) through appropriate professional development activities.</li>
<li>Actively participate on divisional and institutional committees.</li>
<li>Collaborate in building and maintaining relationships within and beyond the institution.</li>
<li>Contribute appropriately to pursuit and achievement of program, division, and institutional mission and strategy.</li>

Job Specifications
Education, Training and Experience Required:

<li>Master’s degree in English or related field OR a Master’s degree and at least 18 graduate semester hours (27 graduate quarter hours) in English or closely related field is required.</li>
</ul>
• Three years experience teaching Dual Enrollment English or three years teaching high school preferred.
• College teaching experience is desirable.
• Doctorate and higher education experience preferred.

Supervising the study and learning activities of students assigned. 3. Evaluating the academic progress of students. 5. Demonstrating knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook. 6. For extenuating circumstances in which office hours cannot be scheduled, the adjunct faculty member must submit a written plan to the Dean describing how students can access the instructor. Office hours are not paid during the summer session.
