Monitor matching gifts in process and manage updates of matching gift files. </li><li>Review and analyze revenue and expense transactions in Banner monthly to ensure accuracy of records and financial reporting. </li><li>Ensure critical month-end tasks are completed prior to closing the financial period. </li><li>Prepare quarterly analytical reviews of revenues and expenses. </li><li>Prepare monthly reconciliations for various USI Foundation funds. </li><li>Develop and maintain spreadsheets for USI Foundation general ledger information, monthly University support, gifts of securities, and USI Foundation transfers. </li><li>Develop and maintain spreadsheets required for the annual external audit, internal audits and year-end processes. </li><li>Manage and prepare items for document retention, including but not limited to accounts payable and pledge documentation. </li><li>Prepare monthly University Support Report detailing support provided to the University. </li><li>Assist with preparation of detailed monthly investment portfolio reconciliations involving numerous investment transactions. </li><li>Review Banner documents monthly to ensure required supporting documentation is included. </li><li>Maintain USI Foundation fund create files including required documentation.</li><li>Respond to departmental inquiries related to the Foundation Accounting department. </li><li>Assist the Foundation Accountant in accounting for USI Foundation special events. </li><li>Provide backup support for other Finance and Administration staff during peak work times or absences.</li><li>Serve as backup for various accounting duties in the Foundation Accounting department. </li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul> Required Knowledge and Skills <ul><li>Associate’s degree in accounting or related field. </li><li>Minimum of three years business office or accounting experience or a combination of education and experience. </li><li>Demonstrated proficiency with micro-computers including spreadsheet, word processing, internet, and electronic mail systems. </li><li>Attention to detail including strong editorial and strong problem solving skills. </li><li>Ability to type with a high degree of accuracy. </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials and information. </li><li>Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills to deal with the public and handle transactions in a customer-orientated manner. </li><li>Excellent organization skills in addition to the ability to coordinate multiple tasks, determine priorities, set deadlines, and complete projects. </li><li>Ability to work with a diverse group of internal and external individuals. </li><li>Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.</li></ul> Preferred Knowledge and Skills <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business strongly preferred. </li><li>Previous experience with computer based accounting systems.</li></ul> Regular Work Hours/Travel Requirements <ul><li>Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.</li><li>Occasional irregular hours during month-end close and year-end close out may be required.</li><li>Occasional travel within the area may be required</li></ul> About USI&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The University of Southern Indiana is a public higher education institution located on a beautiful&nbsp;1,400-acre campus in Evansville, IN.
