Business Office Specialist
Senior Options is hiring a full-time Business Office Specialist.
The Business Office Specialist will assist with day-to-day operations of President by performing a variety of administrative and support duties. Coordinate with the President to meet the needs of the Senior Options’ staff and partners pertaining to administrative aspects of service delivery. Coordinates special projects and assignments that enhance quality and services of divisions.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Respond to or assist with routine requests and projects for the executive in his daily work with Senior Options.
- Coordinates special projects as directed by the President.
- Maintains an up to date contract with all partners that conduct business with Senior Options.
- 6.Continually seeks to identify continuous quality improvement methodologies; develops strategies and actions plans for review with the President.
- Coordinate meetings and other functions relevant to the Executive Team. Prepares and distributes agendas and records minutes as directed.
- Distribute Senior Options’ newsletters.
- Screen visitors, provide general information or refer to appropriate department.
- Develops, prepares and analyzes a variety of monthly reports including Monthly Advisory calls and other benchmarking and metrics analysis reports that may be required by Executive.
- Order supplies and equipment as needed.
- Design and publish or provide guidance and input into specific Senior Options publications and data utilizing Desktop Publishing skills
- Serve as departmental proficient user for computer assistance and training.
- Attend mandatory in-service programs and other relevant educational offerings.
- Design publications and forms for incorporation into various areas Senior Options
- Disseminates and coordinates Departmental survey questionnaires and monitors responses from the questionnaires
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare related field preferred. Additional administrative training preferred. Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to draft memos and correspondence. Demonstrated computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
- Knowledge of publications software(MS Publisher) preferred.
- Must be detail oriented, accurate, and able to act autonomously with minimal supervision on projects and maintain high levels of confidentiality and discretion.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in fulfilling job duties.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to older adult population, visitors, and co-workers.
