Job Summary

The University of Kentucky College of Dentistry is inviting applications for a full-time faculty position in the non-tenure track for the Division of Endodontics, Department of Oral Health Practice. Our college is well known as a leader in digital dentistry and with a low student-teacher ratio and collegial atmosphere, there exists an excellent opportunity for the selected skilled clinician to be an integral part of the current development of an elite endodontic residency program and to enhance the clinical and academic mission of the College through research, teaching and service. The anticipated start date for this assignment is July 1, 2024.



The primary responsibilities of the selected candidate are to provide preclinical and clinical instruction to predoctoral and postgraduate students. Other duties will include: participation in the development, implementation and evaluation of educational programs at all levels in the Division, serving as a consultant to postgraduate students in other advanced programs, supervision of students providing patient care, opportunity to participate in the faculty practice, providing continuing education necessary to meet program needs, participation in activities leading to scholarship/professional development leading to promotion and serving on Division, Department, College, Medical Center and University committees as assigned.

Qualifications for this position include a DMD or DDS degree from a CODA accredited institution or equivalent credentials. The candidate should have a certificate of advance training in Endodontics from a CODA accredited institution, be board certified or eligible to take the examination of the American Board of Endodontics. Candidates should be eligible to receive an unrestricted Kentucky license or a Kentucky dental faculty license. Experience in dental education desired, but not required.

Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
