Job Summary

We are seeking qualified adjuncts for the Music, Performing Arts and Music Technologies Department to teach MUS:166 Intro to Music Business, which is a general overview of all areas of music business including promotional material, contracts, managers, copyright laws and publishing. Recording project collaboration will include developing a professional press kit that will be presented to the artist at the end of the semester. All adjunct faculty positions have as their primary objective to create a dynamic teaching/learning environment for our students, while contributing service to the college. Adjunct faculty teach assigned courses in alignment with the course description and course outline established by the department. Music Business sections run one day a week on Mon, 5:00-7:45pm, in the Spring semester.



Qualifications - Education

BA in Music Required or Masters in Music preferred.



Qualifications - Experience

Prior college or university teaching experience preferred, as is evidence of scholarly and/or professional activities.



Qualifications - Skills

Demonstrated knowledge of discipline including current developments and technologies in related fields of specialization. Ability to work with diverse groups of students. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
