GENERAL DUTIES: The Nutrition &amp; Food Service Training Instructor is responsible for the following areas including, but not limited to, teaching and supervision of students online; maintaining confidential, accurate and complete records on paper and electronically; complete reporting as required in a timely manner; participating in the continued development of the program, recruitment of new students and placement of graduates; maintaining an active advisory committee; and other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Vice President of Instruction. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and includes a minimum of 37.5 hours per week at an approved campus work site for instruction of a remote learning program.&nbsp;&nbsp;

POSITION SUMMARY The Assistant Director will serve as a leader within the Office of High School Initiatives and Dual Enrollment, providing strategic vision and direction for dual enrollment, Early College, and dual credit programs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop, implement and manage dual enrollment programs in partnership with local high schools and higher education institutions. Directly supervise the high school coordinator and Gear-Up grant manager. Manage academic progress of Early College students and recommend appropriate academic support opportunities. Develop and implement strategies to improve retention and academic success for both Early College and dual enrollment students. Oversee the department in the absence of the director. Conduct workshops, information sessions, and training for students, parents, and educators to explain the benefits and requirements of dual enrollment programs. Collect and analyze data on program outcomes, student performance and enrollment trends to support informed decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with state regulations, accreditation standards and institutional policies related to dual enrollment. Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, including grant applications, progress reports and evaluation summaries. Develop and maintain partnerships with local school districts, community organizations and other stakeholders to expand access to dual enrollment opportunities. Assist students, parents, high school advisors, principals and staff with the admissions process, including the dual enrollment grant.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Three (3) years of experience working in a higher education setting in student services, program coordination or a related role or coordinating early post-secondary opportunities.

Financial Impact:&nbsp;The Director of Major Gifts is responsible for ensuring that all major gifts, private foundation gifts, and planned gifts given to the Foundation are executed efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with terms of the gift or grant award. Failure to do so may result in the College having to reimburse the donor or granting agency for inappropriate expenditures, the loss of the grant, an inability to apply for future grants and/or a loss of future donations to the Foundation.
Budgetary: The Director of Major Gifts does not have departmental budgetary responsibility or signing authority, but provides input to the Executive Director of the Foundation for operating expenditures. The Director of Major Gifts must understand capital project and equipment budgets and timelines to match effectively funding opportunities with college funding priorities.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Judgement and Decisions:&nbsp;The Director of Major Gift Development prioritizes cultivation opportunities both internally and externally to advance grant or private fundraising.&nbsp; Most decisions are made independently. Nature of Contacts: The Director of Major Gift Development interacts with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.&nbsp; Internally, the Director meets with faculty and staff members from virtually every division at the College including Campus and Academic Deans, Marketing and Communications, Human Resources, Academic Affairs, Business &amp; Finance, Economic &amp; Workforce Development, Student Affairs, the Tennessee Consortium for International Studies, Placement Office, and Institutional Effectiveness, Assessment, and Planning.&nbsp; Externally, the incumbent meets with Foundation Board members, governmental and elected officials, business and corporate leaders, economic development officials, donors, prospective donors, retirees, and alumni.
The Director seeks understanding of corporate, foundation, governmental and personal philanthropic and policy goals.&nbsp; The Director influences, persuades and solicits corporate, foundation, governmental and prospective donors to invest cash gifts or pledges and on the behalf of the College. The Director negotiates donation amounts, pledge terms, and naming&nbsp; opportunities for gifts.&nbsp; The Director provides persuasive information to the public during presentations.&nbsp; The Director must be a perceptive listener, able to discern individual, corporate and government policy and funding priorities. Position Summary: Responsible for the operation of the purchasing department to include locating suppliers, researching supplies, services and equipment.&nbsp; Verify, process, and maintain vendor files, bids, and all purchase orders for the college and the Foundation.
Essential Functions:&nbsp; 
70% Responsible for coordinating purchasing functions of the College.&nbsp; Confer with College staff concerning all purchases of supplies, services, and equipment.&nbsp; Ensure that all purchase orders and request for bids/proposals meet and comply with Tennessee Board of Regents policies and procedures and State of Tennessee policies, procedures, and laws.&nbsp; Approve all requisitions for supplies, services, and equipment per set procedures to include verification and selection of vendors and specifications in the College’s eProcurement system (PelliBiz).&nbsp; Complete change orders as required.&nbsp; Monitor and resolve aging requisitions and purchase orders. Assist shipping/receiving and accounts payable staff with unidentifiable shipments or invoices.&nbsp; Research and resolve problems concerning orders or delivery of supplies, services, and equipment.&nbsp;
10% Obtain, document, and process purchasing bids and proposals.&nbsp; Correspond with College staff and external vendors concerning purchase specifications and pricing.&nbsp; Complete bid/proposal packages and submit for award.&nbsp; Maintain bid and proposal files.&nbsp; Coordinate process for annual orders to include processing bids, maintain master control list, and assure all orders are in place at the beginning of each fiscal year.
5% Responsible for the maintenance of college vendor files and W-9 information.&nbsp; Develop and process new vendor requests with the TBR Total Supplier Management system. Review outstanding requests weekly and resolve all issues.
5% Generate and verify purchasing reports in the Banner system for submission to the Tennessee Board of Regents and others as needed.&nbsp;
5% Assign equipment identification numbers and forward to the receiving department.&nbsp; Assist property office with questions concerning property to be inventoried and for surplus.
5% Serve as College representative on the TBR Council of Buyers.&nbsp; Participate in College committee and programs, and in related professional groups and organizations. Job Requirements:&nbsp;
Associate’s degree in business related field and 5 years purchasing or business-related experience or a high school diploma and 7 years purchasing or business-related experience.
Part-time work experience is calculated at 50% credit of full-time work experience.
Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of the principles and practices of purchasing, accounting, contracts, on-line computer systems, and a working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Able to engage in the college’s mission and values.

Job Title: Adjunct Instructor of Engineering Technology
Campus Location:&nbsp;Sevier Campus (Employees are assigned to a “home” location but may occasionally or regularly be required to work at other WSCC locations.)
Job Purpose:&nbsp;Expected to teach Associate of Applied Science- level Engineering Technology classes and laboratories. This position’s primary area of responsibility will be the Engineering Systems Technology degree, and requires experience in at least two of the following four primary area: Mechanical systems, Computer aided drafting, Machining and inspection, and Operations management. Also, will perform minor repairs and periodic maintenance on equipment assigned to the Engineering Technology Programs.
Essential Job Functions:
<ul>
<li>Provide instruction and training in the Engineering Systems Technology program and its disciplines. Instruction will cover, but is not limited to, mechanical systems, computer aided design, and manual and CNC machining and operations management.</li>
<li>Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and processes relative to engineering technology.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Share responsibility for day-to-day operation and routine upkeep of classrooms, labs, and equipment.&nbsp;</li>

Required Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology or other degree title related to the discipline.

Consideration will also be given to graduates of B.S. programs in the fields of Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Industrial Technology when accompanied by a strong demonstration of experience in disciplines previously mentioned through application and/or professional certifications.

<li>Demonstrated experience in the area of mechanical systems. 
</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks and /or REVIT. 
</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in manual and and CNC machining. 
</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in operations management and quality assurance. 
</li>
<li>Teaching experience at the secondary or post-secondary level or documented experience as a professional industrial trainer specifically in electrical and electronic applications. 
</li>
<li>Must be willing to support evening and distance education offerings as needed to reach students in varying demographics. 
</li>

Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Preferential consideration will also be given to holders of graduate degrees in fields of Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Industrial Technology, but only if the B.S. requirements are also met.

<li>Disciplines in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial and Applied Engineering will receive the highest consideration. 
</li>
<li>Experience in course delivery through hybrid and online technologies will be considered a plus.

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Upper Cumberland is accepting applications for the position of Machine Tool Technology Instructor.&nbsp; The position is full-time and located at the main campus.
Qualifications:

<li>High School Diploma or GED Required.&nbsp;&nbsp; Machine Tool Technology Diploma Required.</li>
<li>Associate Degree or higher preferred or willingness to continue education.</li>

Title: Admissions &amp; Records Clerk
POSITION SUMMARY Creates and maintains admissions records for new applicants and returning students at Nashville State Community College.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Shares primary responsibility for accepting applications, processing applications, maintaining student records, making referrals and answering questions related to admissions and records requirements, including standards for programs with special admissions requirements. Processes applications, transcripts and other admissions documents, ensuring data entry into all systems is accurate. Serves as students’ point of contact for inquiries regarding their admissions files and the status of their applications and files. Maintains all physical and electronic student files prior to their transfer and release to the Records Office.
Disseminates information concerning College admissions and records policies and procedures to the campus community as needed. Serves as a registrar for the Selective Service System by submitting Selective Service Registration cards for students. Assists and supports the Welcome Center as needed and assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or educational equivalent
One year of experience working in a higher education, office or business setting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience performing data entry
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Professional telephone etiquette skills. Effective written and oral communication skills. Basic to intermediate computer skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse population of students, faculty and staff. Ability to work some evenings and weekends, as needed, to support admissions and records events.
