Position Summary: The Director, Annual Giving and Donor Engagement oversees efforts to secure financial support from various stakeholders and implements strategies for donor cultivation, stewardship, and recognition. The Director develops communication strategies to keep donors informed about the Foundation’s impact and the College’s needs, while also maintaining a portfolio of prospects and managing the annual gift renewal process to support pipeline development.
Essential Functions: 
30% Stewardship, Donor Engagement and Communication – Collaborate, develop, implement, direct, and evaluate a comprehensive, realistic and focused stewardship strategy that will strengthen relationships and secure recurring gifts from donors and alumni.
In collaboration with other Foundation staff members, develop and direct a detailed stewardship, engagement and communication plan for major donors implemented with support from foundation fundraisers, grants, alumni, faculty and/or other staff members. Key touchpoints include new donors, completed pledges, Major Gift Impact reports, and milestone/anniversary giving. Communication responsibilities include coordination of content and schedules for eNewsletters, social media, and publications. Collaborate with the executive director and the Webmaster to create and update website content.
Coordinate a tracking and inventory system of donor recognition and named gift opportunities for major gift campaigns. Serve as the Foundation liaison to Marketing/Communication to create building signage to recognize donors. Provide coordination for check presentation events, photography, press releases and social media promotion of gift acknowledgement.
Develop and implement special projects for the President, the Foundation and the College as needed to promote and highlight new programs and teaching areas, ribbon cuttings, new buildings, named giving site celebrations, and/or to recognize significant donors associated with Major Gift Campaigns.
50% Annual Giving- Set the overall strategic direction for the Foundation’s annual giving strategies for all constituencies including direct mail, special events, eNewsletters, social media, and online-giving campaigns. Engage and acquire new donors and sponsors through the management of a portfolio of individuals and corporations with the capacity to provide significant annual gifts and sponsorships. Create a pipeline of gifts, which can lead to future major and planned gift support.
Utilize donor data that will track recurring donor giving and retention to realize our ROI to evaluate and adjust strategies as needed. Outcome goals include; measuring the baseline % of first-time donors who also give a gift the following year (donor retention), measuring the baseline % of second gifts that are larger than the first (moves management), and measuring baseline % of donors who give even when their pledge is fulfilled (pledge renewals).
Create, implement and evaluate multiple annual fundraising opportunities to advance the mission of the College including department funds, awards, programs, athletics, and student support services. Collaborate with the executive director to provide professional development and guidance for faculty/staff members raising funds outside the foundation.
Provide leadership to plan, organize, and execute a large-scale annual fundraising event (Pellissippi Strong) and an online giving campaign (Life Happens/Giving Tuesday) from inception to completion through direct solicitation of sponsorships and facilitation of a group of board volunteers, community leaders, and foundation staff. Develop event timelines, budgets and marketing plans to maximize participation and fundraising outcomes. &nbsp;Coordinate with vendors, venues, and internal partners. Provide planning, coordinating marketing, and student leader supervision, of student activities. Develop and maintain an innovative and comprehensive student leadership development program. Work with Manager of Student Engagement to provide meaningful and relevant programming to all Vol State Campuses.
Job Duties:
Develop and coordinate a schedule of educational and social events to create a high quality, vibrant, student life program that promotes student engagement and student success. Collaborate with faculty to develop programs to supplement in-class learning. In conjunction with Purchasing and Contracts and in alignment with Vol State procedures, negotiate and execute contracts with artists and agents to support calendar of events. Work with the Office of Marketing, Communications, and Media Services to implement plans for student activities and manage the campus activities calendar. Assist in coordinating and developing student engagement initiatives such as, but not limited to, wellness workshops and first-year experience programming to foster a supportive campus environment. Work with student organizations to guide groups on programming Develop and offer leadership training programs for student leaders and general student population. Serve as the primary advisor to the Student Government Association and the Campus Activities Board. Supervise the planning, organizing, and implementing of student organizations to include recruiting, training, and evaluating Student Organization advisors and members. Monitor the Student Government Association, Student Activities, and student organization budgets and oversee the distribution of the student activities fund/SGA account. Provide student activities support to Regional Centers. Work with other offices and division deans to support student activities. Assist with developing and maintain campus and community resource materials specific to each Vol State campus for students in need of community services. Assist with developing partnerships with local mental health agencies to provide resources and support for students experiencing emotional distress. In collaboration with the Manager of Student Engagement and key departments, coordinate student prevention programming and training to address drug and alcohol abuse, sexual misconduct, mental health issues, and other barriers to student success. Responsible for ensuring the ongoing assessment of all programs and services. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution. Three years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Human Services, Counseling, Education, or related field from a regionally accredited institution. Experience in higher education and/or human/social services. Project management experience.

Must possess excellent oral, written and decision-making skills. Must be committed to a positive customer service philosophy and able to embrace varied ideas and viewpoints. 5% Collaborate with the Senior Graphic Designer, Web and Advertising assistant director, Publications coordinator and outside printers and sales associates to guarantee that jobs are designed and packaged to meet proper printing guidelines and specifications.
5% Document and track the status of each design project.
5% Stay current on design trends, software, printing processes, competitors, etc., and apply knowledge as appropriate when developing designs. Other duties as assigned.

This is a full-time position reports to the Manager of Client Services. The Computer Lab Technician is under general supervision and is primarily responsible for the deployment (repairs, maintenance, installation) and support of all computing devices and related equipment at the college. The operating environment includes Windows 10 and Windows 11 PCs, macOS devices, cloud-based applications, and networked systems. The college infrastructure comprises Windows and Linux servers, a gigabit Ethernet local area network (LAN), and wide area networks using TCP/IP, fiber-optic connections, and VPN technologies. The environment also includes cloud-based server solutions such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Installs, configures, and tests new computing hardware including Windows PCs, Apple MacBooks and iMacs, and laser printers.</li>
<li>Installs, configures, and tests system and application software including Windows 10, Windows 11, macOS, Linux, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other common software packages.</li>
<li>Identifies and repairs faults in computing hardware; if appropriate, coordinates warranty repair of faulty equipment.</li>
<li>Diagnoses and resolves software issues, including operating system failures, application errors, and cybersecurity threats.</li>
<li>Integrates computing equipment into the college network, ensuring proper security configurations and access management.</li>
<li>Responds to client requests for service by phone, ticketing system, or in person and troubleshoots hardware, software, and connectivity issues.</li>

Minimum Qualifications
