As a station expert, the Culinary Coordinator supports secondary instruction to students who are placed in an experiential learning environment, and works closely with hospitality students in the areas of food preparation, setup of assigned work stations, and execution of culinary services. The Culinary Coordinator is responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and correcting students in their learning experience, ensuring students utilize acquired skills in a practical setting. The Culinary Coordinator will provide regular feedback to the hospitality faculty and department Chair, in both formal and informal meetings, to communicate progress in meeting student learning outcomes.Operations <ul><li>Prepare food for service (e.g. baked goods, chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) and set up and stock assigned workstations with all necessary supplies.</li><li>Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff and ensure that food is prepped, plated, and served in a timely fashion.</li><li>Answer, report, and follow executive, café manager, or sous chef’s instructions. Care for workstation according to sanitation standards set forth by the health department and comply with nutrition, sanitation regulations, and safety standards.</li><li>Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers. Train, guide, and support hospitality students that are assigned to the station. Evaluate student performance and communicate with faculty as necessary. Assistant Director of Admissions - Recruitment Strategy

SUMMARY:Under the supervision of the Director of Youth &amp; Community Learning, Columbus College of Art &amp; Design (CCAD) seeks to hire a Youth &amp; Community Learning Summer Program Intern to support CCAD's summer programs. This position begins in late May and ends in late July. The individual in this position will reside on campus in a private room located in Schottenstein Residence Hall and will earn $16 per hour. Evening and weekend hours will be required during a three week period in July. With overtime included, we anticipate this individual is likely to earn over $6,500.00 during their time in this role. Programs supported by this role include:Creative Summer Workshops (1st -12th grade and Adults)College Preview (a three week residential, credit-bearing experience for high school students).This role is best fit for a college going student at the Junior or Senior level that is actively and currently in-progress of or has just completed earning an Associates or Bachelors degree in Visual or Performing Arts, Arts Education, K-12 Education, or Higher Education Administration. It is a position requiring someone who can manage a fast-pace, can work independently with little supervision, is a critical thinker, and has the ability to multitask.
