As a Nursing Skills Lab Coordinator member for a certified Great Place to Work, you will guide students to do more than change their own lives – you will help change the lives of every patient they treat throughout their career in healthcare.&nbsp; At West Coast University you will have the opportunity to share your success story with the next generation of nurses as a key member of our student-centered, innovative community!Hours: 10:00 am-6:30 pm, with a 4-hour Saturday and Sunday week 1 of each term (10 week terms).&nbsp;You will make an impact by:<ul><li>Provides assistance to students in the skills labs.&nbsp; Assists faculty on procedures related to access and use of equipment and supplies in the skills labs.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Prepares medium-fidelity simulators with moulage, realistic wounds, and other preparation per faculty requirements.&nbsp; Participates in periodic training sessions to increase competence.&nbsp; Meets with nursing instructors to review assignments, activities, and concerns.</li><li>Ensures that assigned labs are prepared according to provided schedules.&nbsp; Provides neat and orderly maintenance of assigned labs, storerooms, and prep rooms.</li><li>Provides proper care, storage, maintenance, and repair of equipment, including stored equipment.&nbsp; Schedules regular maintenance for equipment; fills out and follows through on maintenance requests.</li><li>Provides lab safety/hazardous material handling instruction; ensures appropriate local and state safety standards are met, including proper storage/disposal.</li><li>Conducts periodic lab safety/sanitation checks, with summary reports to supervisor.</li><li>Prepares and follows up on requisitions for lab supplies and equipment.&nbsp; Places orders at the direction of department chairperson or designated instructors.</li><li>Maintains accurate, current records as needed, including inventory of supplies/equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Acts as a liaison between the University and supply/equipment vendors.</li><li>Maintains regular and timely attendance, reports to work as scheduled and assures time worked and/or time-off is recorded properly.</li></ul>Your Experience Includes:<ul><li>Minimum 2 – 3 year’s prior experience as a healthcare provider with direct patient contact, for example, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Patient Care Technologist, Certified Nurses Aide, Licensed Vocation/Practical Nurse, Medical Corpsman.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.</li><li>Demonstrated experience with the use of medical instruments, equipment, and supplies.</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High School degree required.</li></ul>#HEJDo you want a career that allows you to make a difference in other people’s lives? The Campus Operations Coordinator plays an essential role in supporting day-to-day operations and events on the Los Angeles campus. Reporting to the Campus Operations Manager, the Coordinator performs and coordinates tasks and activities to facilitate the optimal functioning of facilities, systems, and processes for faculty, staff, and students. The part time role will work between 20-25 hours per week. PRINCIPAL DUTIESOperational Support<ul><li>Provide general administrative assistance to campus operations leadership.</li><li>Support the management of the campus operations inbox and respond to student, faculty, and staff requests related to campus operations.</li><li>Assist with daily opening and closing procedures for the campus.</li><li>Assist with scheduling and information management related to facilities usage and events.</li><li>Support the mailroom operations and delivery/acceptance of packages and mail.</li><li>Support the reception desk as needed.</li><li>Create and update ID cards for faculty, staff, and students.</li><li>Assist campus visitors and vendors.</li><li>Ensure exceptional customer service when interacting with campus community members.</li></ul>Facilities Management<ul><li>Support office moves, furniture reconfigurations, and classroom setups.</li><li>Provide support for on-campus events, including room reservations, setup, and takedown.</li><li>Maintain supply rooms and inventory levels of office supplies, kitchen items, and other essential campus materials.</li><li>Perform minor maintenance tasks and routine inspections to identify facility repair needs.</li></ul>Emergency Preparedness<ul><li>Be trained on emergency operations policies and procedures and be able to execute response plans on behalf of campus operations leadership if needed.</li></ul>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>High school diploma or GED.</li><li>1+ years of administrative experience in an office environment.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and database management software.</li><li>Valid U.S. Driver’s License.</li><li>Availability to work evening and weekend hours.</li><li>Ability to lift, push, and pull approximately 50 pounds.</li><li>Travel may be required</li></ul>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Associate's or Bachelor's degree.</li><li>Experience in facility coordination or event planning.</li><li>Strong organizational and time management abilities.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.</li></ul>COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSThis opportunity is budgeted at $20-$24 per hour base compensation.
