GENERAL DUTIES:&nbsp;The Student Services Coordinator is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of all aspects of the department at the Murfreesboro and Smyrna campuses including, but not limited to financial aid, student records, student counseling, job placement, admissions and recruiting. This position oversees and participates in the compilation, maintenance and submission of reports as required by federal, state and accrediting agencies. The Student Services Coordinator also oversees enrollment of dual enrollment students from area high schools, updates student catalogs/handbooks and college literature, assists with accreditation activities for the college, coordinates and conducts new student orientations, assists with Perkins Grant submissions/recordkeeping, processes student ADA accommodation requests, coordinates and participates in graduation ceremonies at all campus locations, provides high quality customer service to current and prospective students, and performs other duties as assigned. Travel to all campus locations will be required on a regular basis. This full-time position reports to the President and is based at the Murfreesboro Campus. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is not a remote work position.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Title: Police Officer
POSITION SUMMARY Under general supervision, performs all duties of a Police Officer, including enforcing applicable laws, ordinances, policies and procedures. Patrols the campus by foot, bicycle or motor vehicle.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/ JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Protects life and property of the general public within the jurisdiction of the Nashville State Community College Police Department. Responds and takes the lead in atypical situations and emergencies, until relieved by higher authority. Observes and reports suspected crimes, accidents or activities of a questionable/suspicious nature. Discourages unlawful activities. Reports incidents involving persons or property, reporting likely cause of accidents, pursuing appropriate course of action and informing proper authorities as required. Current certification by the Tennessee Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Commission, per TCA 38-8-107, or the ability to become P.O.S.T. certified within six (6) months of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field

Crisis management or emergency management training and experience
Experience policing in a higher education setting

Ability to speak a second language, particularly Spanish or Arabic

Title: Instructor, Mathematics – 9/10 Month (Term)
POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in an equitable environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators/directors to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences. Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide course materials to students. Submit updated department syllabi prior to the first day of class. Regularly check NSCC email and departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours except on the weekend.
Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions; administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines. Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Work with students as academic advisor as assigned. Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree in Mathematics (OR) Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Collegiate level teaching experience

Ability to teach upper-level mathematics courses
