Position Summary:&nbsp;The role of the visual media coordinator is to support the college’s internal and external marketing efforts through the means of photography and videography, as well as coordinating all of the planning, scheduling, and writing required to produce various forms of media that will promote the college and support its brand. This position requires cataloguing and archiving media to maintain and sort the College’s visual media servers.
Duties and&nbsp;Responsibilities:
30% Use skills and knowledge of video production and editing to initiate, conceptualize, and produce video projects to promote Pellissippi State. Projects may include advertisements, academic program videos, testimonials, updates from the President and promotions of upcoming events, as well as video shorts and skits for social media. Must be able to tell a story through video and positively support the College’s image and goals. Responsible for all pre-production (pre-interviews, gathering information, transporting equipment), production (directing shoots, setting up lighting, composing shots, shooting footage, sound recording) and post-production (editing footage, designing and implementing graphics, selecting music, designing sound). Must be able to output to television and web applications.
30% Use skills and knowledge of photography to shoot still photographs to document the activities and events of the College; provide illustrative images to support news releases, ads, and publications; produce multimedia presentations as requested for use in events and speeches; provide daily photos for social media and web use; and capture the essence of the people, programs, and activities of the College. Responsible for editing photographs to make them ready for use by the college. Catalog and store all digital resources on media server in an organized fashion for archival purposes, and to make available for other college employees. Provide suggestions for media upon request. Talent scout, schedule, and communicate with subjects for photography and video shoots, and gathering bios and leads for potential stories and marketing materials.
10% Collaborates with others in the department to maintain assets and contribute to the College’s social media accounts. Produces, edits, and updates content that is newsworthy, relevant and engaging on a variety of platforms.
7.5% Supervise student employees (Federal Work Study, Student Employment &nbsp;&nbsp;Program, etc.) that are placed within visual media.
7.5% Coordinate with the Marketing &amp; Communications team and other PSCC employees to discuss goals and directives that will promote the college.
10% Monitor emails and photo and video requests and reply back in a timely and attentive manner. Approve or deny requests depending on their overall usefulness towards the college mission
5% Stay up to date with current visual media trends, maintaining an awareness of industry standards and techniques, and participate in professional development both within the media field and in college employee training seminars.

This position works consistently with all academic divisions related to credentials. In the worst case scenario, mistakes would be identified over the long-term and could result in sanctions.&nbsp; At this point, the department supervisor and a vice president would intervene.&nbsp; Most mistakes are discovered earlier in semi-annual audits. In working with surveys for the multiple academic and non-instructional departments throughout the college, mistakes are discovered quickly.&nbsp; In the event of a major problem, the department supervisor would intervene.
Responsibility for Accuracy:
The most typical error in credentialing would be the absence of documentation, and the employee would most likely discover this and take steps to rectify.&nbsp; Accuracy mistakes in survey data could lead to a loss of confidence in the process, but most often mistakes would be discussed between the employee and the customer and be corrected. It is important for this employee to be proactive.
Financial Impact:&nbsp;The position has no direct responsibility for material assets.
Budgetary: The position will assist with ordering office supplies in PelliBiz, but they will have no budgetary responsibility.
Judgement and Decisions:&nbsp;The employee operates independently in identifying concerns related to surveys or credentials. At the point of concern related to credentials, the employee works with department deans and internal audit to clarify documentation. The employee works closely with the persons requesting survey data to address any concerns.

Essential Functions:
30% Data Collection &amp; Integration
Works closely with Institutional Effectiveness, Assessment, and Planning (IEAP) to support research initiatives, including collecting, analyzing, and compiling data related to the student experience and student success in accordance with the RCCE@PSCC project. Leads data collection and analysis efforts related to summer melt and stop-out/dropout rates and provides reports and recommendations based on analysis.
Data Analysis
Apply statistical and analytical techniques to derive actionable insights from complex datasets. Monitor and assess patterns relating to student drop-out/stop-out in the first year, providing regular updates to Project Director/Stay Strong Center Director, and Leadership Team. Provide support in creating a comprehensive plan that will lead to improved student retention, persistence, and completion. Monitor the progress of the programs and identify areas that need improvement. Work closely with faculty and staff to ensure that the initiatives are aligned with the needs of the students. Analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of the programs and make necessary adjustments to improve student outcomes.
30% Data-Driven Strategy Formulation
Work closely with other grant personnel, especially the Project Director, to align data initiatives with Title III project objectives. Present data findings to various stakeholders, ensuring clarity and actionable takeaways. Collaborate with academic departments and student affairs to develop data-informed strategies to enhance student recruitment, retention, and success. Propose actionable strategies to tackle challenges identified in student data, such as drop-outs, stop-outs, and other relevant metrics.
Develops technology workflows and provides training for new and existing users to improve service delivery and product function. Work within the Stay Strong Success Center to identify and prioritize technology needs to support student success. Establish workflows and communication processes for optimal technology use. Work with IT, IEAP and other technology professionals to investigate the potential implementation and management of a Chatbot platform.
Stay current with emerging educational technologies and trends.
Foster a culture of innovation and technology integration within academic support services. Ensure all technology-related policies and procedures are followed, including security and data privacy guidelines.
20% Software Proficiency
Utilize data management and analysis software such as SQL, R, Python, Power BI, and similar tools. Stay updated on emerging software and tools that can enhance data management and analysis capabilities.

15% Reporting
Submit monthly reports to the Project Director detailing progress toward Title III grant deliverables. Assist with Title III reporting writ large.&nbsp; Generate routine and ad-hoc reports, ensuring they're tailored to different audiences, from project teams to senior leadership.
Work closely with the Title III Project Director and Career Development Coordinator to monitor and report on transfer rates, WBL participation, and career development outcomes. Regularly assess the efficacy of career, transfer, and WBL services, refining strategies based on student feedback and changing industry requirements.
5% Administration: 
Serve on College committees as assigned; participate in relevant professional organizations and professional development activities that enhance the College mission. The Title III grant outlines specific strategies, activities, milestones, and deliverables. However, the grant does not provide a step-by-step procedure for accomplishing the required outcomes, milestones, and deliverables. Working within the college's policies and procedures and state and federal guidelines, the Student Experience Data Manager must use creative “outside the box” thinking to develop the best strategy to achieve the grant's goals. The capability of not being hindered by implied limitations can be immensely valuable. Additionally, it is essential to avoid spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors in written communication. This role requires adaptability, problem-solving, attention to detail, and an understanding of the institutional and departmental mission.
Design and statistical analysis require extensive knowledge of design theory and educational data collected in student information systems.&nbsp; The analyst must be able to demonstrate knowledge of relational database management theory, design, and operation pertaining to student and academic data. Proficiency in the use of SQL with emphasis on retrieval of student information from Banner/Oracle applications.&nbsp; Proficient use of statistical software and knowledge of advanced statistical methods and techniques.&nbsp; Beyond proficiency, the employee must be able to communicate with other employees with varying degrees of understanding of research application in order to produce information that can be used to take action toward improvement of daily operations, student success, and, ultimately, college success.
Magnitude of Impact:
Decisions could impact the success of completing the strategies, activities, milestones, and deliverables of the Title III Grant, which could, in turn, affect the college’s goals in receiving other grant-funded opportunities. The position requires collaboration with different areas of the college, including Enrolment Services, Career Development, Advising, New Student Orientation, Career Mentors, Career Communities, and Academic Affairs in general.

Financial Impact: 
There are both financial and non-financial consequences to consider, such as the possibility of losing grant funding if objectives are not achieved or resources are not managed properly. However, it is important to note that the Student Experience Data Manager’s primary focus will be on assessment tasks related to student recruitment, retention, and engagement rather than directly managing material assets. As a result, the risk associated with this role is relatively low when compared to other positions that have greater responsibility for managing material assets.

Although not directly responsible for the budget, the position provides input on material, supply, and travel needs.

Nature of Contacts:

Job Purpose:&nbsp;he purpose of this position is to perform custodial functions on an assigned Walters State campus. This position also helps the Custodial Lead worker through task identification, task completion, and completion of required training programs.

Complexity &amp; Creativity: 
This position requires quite a lot of analytical, technical and creative thinking. One must have a good working knowledge of OSHA and TOSHA safety regulations, EPA and TDEC environmental regulations, NFPA and NEC fire safety and electrical regulations, some building code regulations such as placement of fire sprinklers, elevator regulations, and construction safety. Excellent observation skills are required to determine compliance with these regulations. The ability to plan for and manage resources and funds related to the position.
A fundamental knowledge of physics, chemistry, biology, physiology, statistics, mathematics, computers, engineering mechanics, and industrial processes as they relate to the Environmental, Health and Safety position.
Ability to track safety metrics (see 4a) and regular reporting and interpreting of metrics to management for awareness and decision making; Ability to write reports, track data, develop and deliver high-quality presentations, communicate via email, keep track of tasks, appointments, and contacts using a personal computer.

Magnitude of Impact: Errors in the EH&amp;S position can impact departments all the way up to the president. Mishandling of hazardous waste can impact the environment, incur fines, and bring bad publicity to the college. Accident and injuries can cause harm, result in lost time, and have a heavy financial impact.
Responsibility for Accuracy: OSHA log errors, Workers’ Compensation reporting errors, and clerical errors in emails, reports and presentations. Most errors should be caught by review of the employee. Frequency of verification should be at least monthly. Errors could result in violations and fines by regulatory agencies. These types of errors are not very likely and would have a minimal effect of the performance of the position. I recommend that the school institute a system of checks and balances to verify data on a regular basis. This position should help develop that system.
Financial Impact: This position is directly responsible for loss of material and financial assets through damage caused by neglected testing and training of emergency or safety equipment; loss of financial assets due to fines and penalties imposed by regulatory agencies due to noncompliance, loss of financial assets due to litigation pertaining to safety related incidents.
Budgetary: To assist in planning a budget for safety and environmental-related purchases. This position does not have signing responsibility, but must have a good understanding of the purchasing process. This position provides estimates for safety and environmental-related purchases; this position has some input in planning large purchases in the EH&amp;S Dept. N/A on budget amount.
Judgement and Decisions:
Communication to employees, vendors, contractors concerning safety audits and concerns. Communication with local, state, and federal inspectors concerning safety audits and concerns.
Training topics, training presentation materials and schedules; audit observations and schedules; vendor service schedules. Most interactions with administrators, maintenance personnel, Campus Police personnel, instructors, and students concerning safety training.
Decisions should be reviewed by the Supervisor and supervisor kept informed of activities in weekly meeting.
Nature of Contacts: Contractors (waste, fire alarm and sprinkler, building security systems, electrical, housekeeping, environmental monitoring and abatement, equipment inspection and repair); vendors (safety supplies, software); colleagues at other schools and other businesses. When attending events, it helps to network with others in similar positions so as to help each other.
Physical Demands: The ability to walk, climb stairs, climb ladders, stand in one spot for a period of time to observe practices, sit for long periods, drive for long periods, travel out of town as needed. Manual dexterity is required to use a keyboard, to write, to turn pages, to work with equipment, to handle small items, to open and close doors. Lifting is usually minimal, but the ability to lift up to 50 pounds could be required.
During training there are questions, during audits there are observations which may require the ability to hear words, and/or equipment noises; some training may be computer-based. A reasonable accommodation could be made for someone with limited or no hearing.
Many observations are made during audits, requiring excellent or corrected eyesight.

Job Summary: The overall purpose of this job is to administratively aid the Natural and Behavioral Sciences (NBS) dean, discipline chairs, program coordinators, all full-time and adjunct faculty members in the department, while ensuring that all needs and/or concerns of faculty, staff, students, and the external community are addressed and resolved to facilitate academic success, excellent service, and the continued growth of the College and its programs. This purpose involves coordinating administrative office services for the NBS dean; acting as a liaison between this office, departments, and the community; administering duties in a capacity that enables independent judgment in matters of significance; planning and arranging special events; and performing other related duties as assigned. This position serves as the gatekeeper for the NBS department.
Essential Functions:
32% Administrative Support: &nbsp;Maintain a presence on campus and serve as the first contact for the dean and department in face-to-face, phone, and the website contact while assimilating and assisting in gathering various information to perform both administrative and general information to complete complex duties (reports, tables, projects and contracts). These reports and projects include course and faculty member information, Faculty and Load Compensation reports, tables and other documents, release time reports, workload reports, accreditation documents, Faculty Qualification Analyses, English Proficiency documents, volume orders, full-time and adjunct faculty directories, e-mail directories, full-time and adjunct faculty schedules &amp; syllabi, textbook and software orders, etc.
Assist in collecting and distributing mail; revising and maintaining mailboxes each semester, and monitoring assigned departmental mailrooms for paper, toner, and maintenance needs.
32% Staff department office:&nbsp; Respond to inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders. Internally, faculty questions frequently pertain to departmental due dates, events, or college policies and procedures regarding leave, travel, etc. Students generally seek information about faculty office hours, supervisor information, and submitting complaints. External inquiries range from basic information about departmental events to specific questions about curriculum (e.g. course offerings, course prerequisites, course transferability, course sequencing, required course textbooks, software, etc.).
Greet and handle visitors. Ascertain nature of visitors’ needs; provide appropriate and accurate information or assistance, or direct visitors to proper person or resource. Maintain the NBS office, keeping the appearance neat and professional.
Inventory office and classroom supplies and equipment, establish needs, and place orders through Pellibiz purchasing systems. Distribute office and classroom supplies to faculty at all four campuses as needed. Organize, maintain, and restock supply cabinet and walk-in storage closet. Put in service requests for set-ups and repairs.
20% Contracts: Coordinate information and generate accurate adjunct, dual service, overload, and substitution contracts, secure required signatures, route documents, and maintain record of contracts, notebooks of processed contract copies, and PDF files of processed contract copies. Faculty, adjunct, and temporary FLAC (pay) contracts are produced at least three times throughout the school calendar. Guide new adjuncts with HR and departmental paperwork. Compile all HR paperwork and send to HR for new employee processing. Enter teacher assignments in Banner, adjust section enrollment caps, find student transcripts in Banner BDMS, etc., and run Argos reports. Performs applicant tracking and on occasion discusses and determines with the dean or discipline chairs about those that are qualified for adjunct positions.
10% Schedule conference rooms and other areas through 25Live reservation system for meetings and interviews and keep track of other areas’ scheduled events daily. Arrange, schedule and create documents for any department meetings, programs, or events. Attend department meetings and create and disseminate minutes. Organize catering arrangements when needed.
4% Use Outlook email to keep faculty informed of critical information and due dates. Use a professional tone and ensure correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar to compose routine letters and memoranda and to type and edit correspondence, reports, and other documents.
Review and screen applicant tracking to determine which prospective adjuncts have the proper qualifications for teaching and report qualified applicants to program coordinators. Contact, correspond, and schedule interview appointments in collaboration with HR for new adjunct hires, or other relevant positions (ex. discipline chairs), and handle any internal hiring candidates and documentation involved for prospective new full-time candidates and documentation involved for prospective new-full-time instructors. When needed, send out email polls, collect votes of departmental faculty members, and announce results.
2% Prepare forms, secure signatures, forward to payroll, and make any necessary corrections to faculty leave records. Other duties as assigned.

The department assistant relies on established departmental standards to produce internal reports and documents as well as upon the College’s and TBR’s documented policy and procedures as needed. Technical proficiency is maintained by attendance of software trainings and other professional development opportunities including independent study and reading.&nbsp;
The position holder will be required to work with Microsoft Office, FLAC (adjunct contract system), Outlook, the Pellibiz (Sciquest) purchasing system, Banner INB, myPellissippi (Banner Self Service) Argos, Adobe, and the 25Live room reservation system.&nbsp; The position holder must also be able to scan documents, use a fax machine, use a multi-line phone, and operate photocopiers.
This is an all-purpose administrative professional position in an institute of higher learning, and the person who holds the position should be, or become, versed in polite and discreet customer service and the College’s and TBR’s policies and procedures. &nbsp;The holder of the position is often on the frontline of receiving students’ and students’ parents’ complaints about instructors.&nbsp; This requires tact and confidentiality.&nbsp; It is necessary to participate in active listening, neutral-party assuagement of the students’ and other parties’ feelings, and then accurately communicate with all parties concerned (instructor, coordinator, dean, and students) in order to provide the background to resolve the problem.&nbsp; In cases in which students’ family members issue the instructor complaints, the position holder must uphold FERPA privacy requirements, advise affected instructors to do the same, and inform the family members of necessary paperwork for student waiver of FERPA if necessary.&nbsp; The position holder also must be aware of and uphold the necessity of confidentiality regarding student perception results and the dean’s evaluations of faculty members.

The department assistant is responsible for annual inventory of faculty office and classroom equipment at all campuses; late or improper performance of inventory could affect assignment of expensive items.&nbsp; The assistant also researches, orders, maintains, and distributes many supplies and other items besides those on the official inventory.&nbsp;

The dean of the department is responsible for budgetary decisions and tracking, and the assistant helps by meticulous maintenance of purchasing records and careful consultation and coordination with shipping and receiving.
Judgement &amp; Decisions:

Work Hours: The Reference Librarian provides evening and weekend reference desk coverage, scheduled 30 hours per week and will be assigned hours during the window of 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Monday – Thursday, and 10:00 am – 2:00 pm Saturdays.
Position Summary: The Reference Librarian participates in reference services, creating tutorials, library instruction, and other duties as assigned. The position reports to the Instruction Coordinator and Reference Librarian.
Duties and Responsibilities:
65% Provide individual reference service and group information literacy instruction, both in-person and online. Reference services are available in-person and via phone, email, text, chat, and appointment. In support of instruction services, collaborate with the Instruction Coordinator and Reference Librarian on various projects to support the library instruction program.
30% Participate in the ongoing development and maintenance of the library’s web services, including the LibGuides, FAQs, and online tutorials, using various applications, including LibApps, PowerPoint, Camtasia, Snagit, Zoom, and related software. Seek out and implement appropriate emerging technologies.
5% Maintain knowledge of current professional library practices, including reference interviewing and teaching practices. May be involved with collection development activities.

Required Qualifications:
