This position provides advice and counsel to campus leadership and other Executive Committee members regarding overall student morale and serves as the primary advocate for the assigned campus student body. KEY JOB ELEMENTS:<ul><li>Collaborate with admissions, financial aid, academic support services, faculty, program directors, career services, academic leadership and campus leadership to develop strategies that demonstrate an inclusive and equitable learning community for all students in an effort to positively impact enrollment, retention, and increase student satisfaction.</li><li>Supervise Academic Counselors to ensure effective student advising, regular outreach, and proactive engagement with at-risk student populations.</li><li>Oversee specialized programming for first year, reinstated, veteran, and international students. Establish, monitor, and report on measureable outcomes of co-curricular activities and early and targeted interventions and remediation initiatives. Coordinate efforts with the Academic Success Center Coordinator to monitor utilization of campus support services and resources.&nbsp; </li><li>Plan, implement, and oversee orientation, student club activities/events, volunteer opportunities, wellness, cultural awareness and safety programming. Coordinate graduation, pinning, and other ceremonies. </li><li>Work collaboratively with the Director of Marketing, Outreach Coordinators, Director of Career Services, faculty, and staff to coordinate special program events, campus activities on campus and virtually, promote student participation in community events, and create opportunities for alumni to get involved in campus events; actively promote student life on social media, campus displays, and college publications.</li><li>Serve as a point of contact to collect news and noteworthy information campus news, alumni success, faculty spotlights, student testimonials, awards, partnerships, or other highlights, to be utilized for marketing and communication purposes.</li><li>Provide leadership and guidance with the analysis, creation, and interpretation of student policies and procedures. </li><li>Serve as Title IX Investigator and Chief Conduct Officer for a designated campus, including coordination and supervision of due process procedures as they relate to students’ disruptive behavior and crisis incidents.</li><li>Manage support services for with disabilities. Coordinate compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, ADA, institutional processes and procedures and provide on-going training for staff and faculty.</li><li>Develop protocols and community-based resources and student support services, including counseling, healthcare and personal needs. Appropriately communicate a comprehensive list of referral resources and intervention mechanisms/programs to appropriate faculty and staff. </li><li>Create and coordinate the dissemination of campus reports and publications i.e. Clery Act, RNL Student Satisfaction Survey, Title IX/Student Conduct, Drug Free Schools and Communities, and other student consumer information documents. It is expected that a faculty member will be effective in the areas of course design, course delivery, and evaluation. The faculty member is instrumental in assisting the program to ensure that students consistently meet the program’s Student Learning Outcomes to achieve competencies required for AA practice. The faculty member is guided by the Program Director and will assist the program with curriculum assessment to meet the Accreditation Review Committee for Anesthesiologist Assistants (ARC-AA) Standards.The part-time faculty member works no more than 30 hours per week with an assigned teaching workload according to department needs as defined in the Faculty Supplement. The incumbent must assure that the South University philosophy is considered in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position, which includes quality services to clients; development, growth, involvement, and recognition of employees; sound economic principles; and maintenance of an environment which is conducive to innovation, positive thinking, and expansion.KEY JOB ELEMENTS:<ul><li>Provides teaching and instruction as dictated by the needs of the AA Program and assigned by the supervisor or designee:</li></ul><ul><li>Lecturing in areas of clinical and/or professional expertise.</li><li>Providing instruction in laboratory and/or simulation courses.</li><li>Providing academic advising as a Small Group Facilitator, Student Advisor, and facilitating remediation as needed.</li></ul><ul><li>Assists with curriculum development, which includes the design and implementation of the curriculum.</li></ul> <ul><li>Assists with ongoing curriculum evaluation and improvement.</li></ul> <ul><li>Performs student evaluations of objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs), lab practicals, as well as clinical reasoning, problem-solving, and technical skills sessions. </li></ul> <ul><li>Evaluates student performance of submitted assignments, including written clinical documentation and evidence-based medicine research.</li></ul> <ul><li>Creates examinations for courses and maps exam questions to ARC-AA accreditation standards and the NCCAA Content Blueprint.</li></ul> <ul><li>Provides input to assist with accreditation activities, as well as ongoing program evaluation and mission statement review.
