Additional related duties may be assigned.&nbsp; · Teach Mechatronics courses.&nbsp; · Oversee the implementation of curriculum and activities related to mechatronics.&nbsp; · Collaborate with the Dean to develop programs of study and class schedules to meet student completion needs, as well as regional employment needs.&nbsp; · Provide continuous improvement for Mechatronics curriculum through completion of program review processes.&nbsp; · Collaborate with Dean and regional employers to develop and incorporate feedback from an Advisory Committee to ensure that the mechatronics program addresses equity and access, as well as relevancy and innovation.&nbsp; · Coordinate to maintain the operational integrity and readiness of equipment and laboratory facilities, including setup, routine maintenance, replacement per lifecycle recommendations and recommendation for purchase&nbsp; · Collaborate with Dean, as well as Marketing and Communication and Student Services staff, on student recruitment, retention, and completion.&nbsp; · Maintain safety procedures at all times.&nbsp; · Attend workshops, training, and meetings related to the program and professional growth.&nbsp; · Maintain student records and submit College-required documents accurately and on time.&nbsp; · Assist in work-based placement (e.g., internships, apprenticeships, post-graduation opportunities).&nbsp; · Perform related duties as assigned.&nbsp; · Regular attendance is expected; some evening and weekend hours may be required.&nbsp; · Assist adjunct instructors in the classroom and/or labs as needed.&nbsp; · Develop and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, students, and co-workers.&nbsp; · Use tact and courtesy to establish and maintain professional working relationships.&nbsp; Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Knowledge of and experience with electricity, mechanical systems, pneumatics and hydraulics, motor controls, transformers, PLC and PLC programming, robot repair and programming, sensors, manufacturing process, quality control methods, computers, and local area networks is required.&nbsp; 4. Experience in an automated industrial environment is required.&nbsp; 5. Demonstrated experience in supervising/training others is preferred;&nbsp; 6. Demonstrated effective oral and written communications skills and ability to use independent judgement and function autonomously is required.&nbsp; 7. Effective interaction with people from diverse backgrounds is required.
