Job Summary
Big Sandy Community and Technical College is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of CARES Career Coordinator. This position focuses on supporting students’ career development and career readiness by building strong connections between academic programs, faculty, employers, and community partners. The Career Coordinator plays a key role in helping students explore career options, prepare for employment, and successfully transitioning from education to the workforce. The Career Coordinator provides comprehensive career services, including career exploration, job readiness support, and employer engagement. This position collaborates closely with faculty, workforce partners, alumni, and community organizations to align student pathways with regional workforce needs. The Career Coordinator also tracks outcomes, assesses the effectiveness of career initiatives, and supports data-informed strategies that strengthen student success and post-completion employment outcomes. 




Job Duties:
• Assist in establishing and maintaining the BSCTC Career Center and related career development initiatives. • Provide leadership, coordination, and daily oversight of the CARES Center(s) and all related advising and career&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;services functions. • Deliver comprehensive career services, including career exploration, resume and cover letter development, interview&nbsp; &nbsp;preparation, career assessments, employer engagement, and job-placement support. • Collaborate with faculty to bridge academic programs with relevant career and employment opportunities for students. • Design and facilitate workshops, events, and resources that strengthen student career pathways and workforce&nbsp; &nbsp;readiness. • Support students in developing career readiness skills and competencies needed for successful employment and&nbsp; &nbsp;workforce transition. • Collaborate with employer partners, community organizations, and internal stakeholders to enhance student support&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;services and career development opportunities. • Collect, track, analyze, and maintain quantitative and qualitative data related to career services and employment&nbsp; &nbsp;outcomes. • Utilize career technology platforms, including Handshake, to connect students with employers, internships, and job&nbsp; &nbsp;opportunities, and to track career engagement and outcomes. • Support and promote competency-based learning approaches that help students develop career-ready skills. • Partner with internal departments, including workforce solutions and academic divisions, to align career services with&nbsp; &nbsp;student success initiatives. • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to career services, employer engagement, and student&nbsp; &nbsp;outcomes. • Stay informed of regional labor market trends, workforce needs, and best practices in career development to support&nbsp; &nbsp;continuous improvement. • Serve as a success coach at times for career pathways. Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education, Career Services, Student Affairs, Business Administration, or a related field. • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in advising, career services, student support services, or a related higher&nbsp; &nbsp;education environment. • Experience in career advising, student coaching, and workforce preparation. • Demonstrated ability to support students with career exploration, job readiness, and workforce preparation • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, leadership, and presentation skills. &nbsp;




Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Career Services, Business Administration, or a related field. • Five (5) or more years of experience providing career services, career advising, workforce development, or student&nbsp; &nbsp;support services in a higher education or workforce setting. • Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with employers, industry partners, and community organizations to&nbsp; &nbsp;support internships, experiential learning, and employment opportunities. • Experience collaborating with employers and faculty.

Job Duties:
• Instruction: Teach NAA 100, ACNA, Phlebotomy and Medication Nurse Aide courses each semester; prepare students&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;for state certification exams. • Compliance &amp; Documentation: Maintain program compliance with Medicaid rules, manage training site requirements,&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;schedule and document NAA/KMA testing and manage the phlebotomy program. • Student Success: Monitor student progress, provide support for retention and completion, and assist at-risk students. • Industry Engagement: Review MOAs for clinical rotations and promote program opportunities to healthcare partners. • Supervision: Direct supervision of 4 staff members (KNAT Testing Staff and Adjunct Faculty) • Other Duties assigned by supervisor.

Job Summary
Big Sandy Community and Technical College invites qualified candidates to apply for the General Education Adjunct Pool. Adjunct instructors are part-time temporary employees used to fill classroom vacancies. Part-time faculty may be needed to teach for selected day, evening, weekend, and on-line classes at any of our campus locations. Part-time instructors are paid $515.00 per college credit hour. The following disciplines are being recruited: Accounting Art Communications English/Written Communication History Mathematics Biology Psychology 




Job Duties:
• Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities, and prepares learning materials. • Provides instruction to students in the subject area. • Prepares lesson plans and maintains records and reports on student attainment, attendance/activity and progress. • Utilizes approved online course template and syllabus format. 




Minimum Qualifications:
• Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline. • Credential must be granted from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. &nbsp;




Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with online teaching is preferred. • Teaching and Blackboard experience preferred.

Job Summary
Big Sandy Community and Technical College is seeking a detail-oriented and student-focused Financial Aid Advisor I to join our Financial Aid Office. This position plays a critical role in helping students navigate the financial aid process, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations, and supporting student success through financial literacy and access.




Job Duties:
• Provide front-line customer service to students, families, and staff regarding financial aid processes and deadlines. • Assist with the intake and review of financial aid applications and documentation. • Enter and update student data in financial aid systems with accuracy. • Maintain organized student files in compliance with FERPA and other regulations • Respond to general inquiries via phone, email, and in person. • Support outreach events and financial aid workshops. • Perform basic verifications on submitted documentation. • Refer complex or unusual cases to senior staff or supervisors. • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with financial aid policies, software, and best practices. • Assist with other duties such as the scholarship process and special projects as assigned by the director of Financial Aid. 




Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry systems &nbsp;




Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer a candidate with basic knowledge of financial aid terminology and processes.
