Job Summary

      EMS Laboratory Technician (Perkins Grant-FY2025)
    

Job Purpose&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
Create opportunities for internal and external members of the college community to experience the visual arts through the display of a variety of artifacts and works of art. Work in concert with the VP for Advancement to develop and maintain all aspects of the Pryor Art Gallery and works of art acquired by the college. Grow the Pryor Art Gallery in a variety of ways with emphasis on quality exhibits, foot traffic/engagement and financial support.
This is a 29-hour a week, part-time position on the Columbia Campus.&nbsp;
Essential Functions
<ol>
<li>Negotiate for and acquire quality exhibits that will enhance the community’s awareness and appreciation of the visual arts and that will have appeal to a wide cross-section of the college’s service area.</li>
<li>Responsible for all aspects of an exhibit including but not limited to: contracts, insurance, arranging transport of exhibit, setup/removal, public marketing/press releases, social media and website, artist receptions, and purchases made for the permanent collection.</li>
<li>Maintain records, location, and care of permanent collection.</li>
<li>Participate in networking opportunities and grow relationships with artists, exhibitors, and community to cultivate support. &nbsp;</li>
<li>In concert with facilities and security maintain and secure the physical space.</li>

Job Summary
TCAT Oneida/Huntsville is seeking a Culinary Arts Adjunct Instructor who will be responsible for providing instruction to dual-enrolled students at Oneida High School. The position will be scheduled for approximately 20 hours per week and will be located at the Oneida High School campus in Oneida, Tennessee.
Job Duties

<li>Teach/instruct students through lectures, demonstrations, and/or audio visual aids. - (Essential)</li>
<li>Prepare syllabi of courses of study with detailed lesson plans. - (Essential)</li>
<li>Monitor, grade, and evaluate students' progress; Must develop and maintain effective student assessment practices and grading processes. - (Essential)</li>
<li>Maintain appropriate student records and submit timely reports. - (Essential)</li>
<li>Attend workshops and/or other training programs to remain current in the industry. - (Essential)</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and safe environment for student learning. - (Essential)</li>
<li>Source and request needed instructional supplies and equipment necessary for proper student instruction. - (Marginal)</li>
<li>Develop and maintain strong clinical partnerships to enhance the students' learning experience in the clinical setting. - (Essential)</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with all TBR, institutional, state, and federal requirements. - (Essential)</li>

</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree or post-secondary diploma from an accredited training program in Culinary Arts, Family and Consumer Science, or any other field related to the hospitality industry. Three (3) years' experience in the field of culinary arts, nutrition, or dietetics. ServSafe instructor/proctor certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree Teaching experience American Culinary Federation certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
<ul>
<li>Extensive knowledge in the areas of food science, nutrition, sanitation/safety, basic food preparation, professional cooking and meal service, international cuisine, garde manger, and the management of food production and service in the hospitality industry</li>
<li>Organizational and communication skills necessary to be an effective teacher</li>
<li>Computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office applications, email, etc.)</li>
<li>Indication of willingness to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, staff, and business/industry personnel</li>
<li>Commitment to remaining current with industry practices through professional development activities</li>
<li>Ability to travel and/or work after school activities such as graduation, in-service, etc.</li>

TCAT Oneida/Huntsville is seeking a part-time Nursing Aide (CNA) Adjunct instructor to provide instruction to students in all areas of the training program to prepare them for the Nursing Aide certification exam. The position is approximately 20 hours per week and is located on the Clarkrange High School campus in Clarkrange, Tennessee.

Job Summary
Tennessee College of Applied Technology Knoxville is accepting applications for a part-time adjunct instructor position in machine tool technology. This position will work mainly with high school students in Anderson County and work less than 30 hours per week.
Job Duties

<li>Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices in the Machine Tool Technology occupation; knowledge of materials, tools, and equipment used; considerable knowledge of the principles and methods of good teaching and supervision, as evidenced by a rating of education and experience. Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum of post-secondary diploma of an associate degree in Machine Tool Technology or related field from an accredited technical training program • Three (3) years of full-time, related work experience as a machinist within the last five (5) years • Must have knowledge of and ability to operate conventional machinist and computer numerical controlled (CNC) equipment • Must commit to remain current in the machinist field and maintain program accrediting status
Preferred Qualifications
• NIMS and/or industry certification • Teaching experience • Knowledge of Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) policies and procedures • Skill in managing deadlines and working in a team-oriented environment 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• The candidate must be a good communicator with effective verbal and written skills and be able to organize and provide theoretical and practical instructional activities. • Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions • Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with students, the public, and other employees • Strong customer service skills • Computer skills, including general Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook knowledge.
SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience according to Tennessee Board of Regent guidelines at an hourly rate of $30.00 per hour.
