This position reports to the Director of Health Careers. This part-time position will average 24-28 hours per week Monday through Friday and is not eligible for benefits. This is not a remote teaching position.

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Murfreesboro is accepting applications for Emergency Medical Technology program adjunct faculty.&nbsp; EMT adjunct faculty, under the direction of the Director of Allied Health, shall provide instruction in the EMT program.&nbsp; EMT adjunct faculty should be knowledgeable in all aspects of pre-hospital care, and should be capable of applying techniques and modalities of adult education.&nbsp; The work schedule is comprised of evening hours, and the schedule will vary according to program needs.&nbsp; The course is scheduled to run 4:30-9:30 p.m. three nights per week.
Job Duties

<li>Provide high-quality, effective instruction in accordance within program guidelines through lectures, demonstrations, and/or audio-visual aids.</li>
<li>Facilitate student learning and perform evaluations of student learning for the program, including test administration to evaluate student progress.</li>

• Associate Degree from a regionally-accredited institution. • Currently licensed as a Tennessee EMT-Paramedic without history of revocation, denial, or suspension of license. • Licensed emergency care experience must include a minimum of two (2) years practice, preferably within the last five (5) years. • Administrative experience must include a minimum of two (2) years in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) educational administration or greater than three hundred (300) hours of EMS instruction. • Current TEMSESA I/C (instructor/coordinator) course (renewed within within last two years). • Current endorsement in a Board approved trauma, cardiac, and pediatric course at the provider level. 
Preferred Qualifications
• Classroom experience and administrative experience in delivery of workforce education and competency-based training.

The Course Proctor will prepare the classroom for the campus-based students to receive the course virtually at the receiving campus location by. This includes setting up the technology to receive the course virtually by following the manuals and instructions provided. This will require that the Course Proctor access the Learning Management System (Brightspace) and access the live video function within the course (Kaltura). The Course Proctor will ensure that the video and audio are functioning in the classroom prior to the course beginning and will remain in the class with the students throughout the duration of the class period.
