Job Summary
Maysville Community and Technical College seeks a Student Support Specialist to work within the Student Support Services (SSS) TRiO grant. SSS supports first-generation, low-income, and/or disabled students to retain, succeed, and graduate. This position will be at the Maysville and Licking Valley Campus. This is a full-time, 12-month, TRIO Grant-funded position, and reports to the Director of Student Support Services. The Counselor is responsible for serving students on multiple campuses and will work regularly with students for the purpose of career, personal, and academic advising.




Job Duties:
Coordinate participant assessments. Develop Student Success Plan with participants and advise a caseload of participants. Collect and analyze participant data to support project evaluation. Coordinate success workshops. Coordinate transfer advising services and college transfer visits. Assist with financial literacy services. Work with staff/faculty to coordinate disability services. Provide career services. Oversee project academic tutoring, coordinating, training, supervising, and evaluating Peer Tutors. Develop and improve the academic and career guidance and counseling plan for a college. Lead transfer advising services and coordinate college transfer trips. Work with civic, professional and business groups as appropriate, represents college and KCTCS educational opportunities.




Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or higher in Education, Counseling, or related field Two years’ experience in instruction and/or student services in higher education Demonstrated understanding of high-need students’ academic barriers Excellent communication skills Strong technology skills&nbsp;




Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s

Job Summary
Maysville Community &amp; Technical College is currently seeking a full time, 10-month, term contract position to serve the Montgomery (Mount Sterling) Campus for a Registered Nursing Instructor. Plans and carries out instruction and instructional activities and prepares learning materials for special study. Provides instructions to students in both theory and practice for Nursing. Prepares lesson plans and maintains records and reports on students' attainment and progress. Maintains order and discipline. Keeps abreast of technical changes in the field and keeps the program updated. Participates in professional development activities to improve teaching skills and technical expertise. Provides follow-up services to assist in student placement, improved courses of instruction, and promote public relations.




Job Duties:
The instructor will be responsible for classroom lecture, supervising students in the college laboratory and clinical areas associated with the Montgomery Campus RN Program. Assists in planning, implementing, evaluating and updating the program. Provide and participate in National Accreditation duties as assigned and for the RN program. Additional duties will include academic advising, committee work, internal and external service and professional development.




Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university. Current active, unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Kentucky. Two years full time or equivalent experience as a registered nurse in the hospital setting within the immediate past five years.&nbsp;




Preferred Qualifications:
BSN or master's in nursing preferred

Title: Adjunct Faculty- Clinical Nursing Instructor
Salary Range: $31.00 per hour

Job Duties:
Adjunct nursing clinical instructors are responsible for facilitating clinical learning experiences in a variety of area healthcare facilities for no more than 10 nursing students per Kentucky Board of Nursing regulation (201 KAR 20:260).&nbsp; • Provide hands-on clinical instruction and supervision of nursing students while in the clinical setting of not more than 10 students per Kentucky Board of Nursing regulation (201 KAR 20:260) • Facilitate meaningful learning experiences including use of the nursing process and clinical judgement. • Assess and evaluate student learning, providing feedback in a timely manner to promote student success. • Facilitate development of clinical reasoning skills, professional identity, and use of effective communication skills while providing safe patient care in the clinical setting. • Complete clinical evaluation of student performance weekly, at mid-term and final end of term. • Act as a liaison between the nursing program and the healthcare facility. • Participate in MCTC clinical instructor orientation and course specific faculty meetings. 




Minimum Qualifications:
