Job Summary
The primary purpose of the full-time Maintenance Technician II is to provide general maintenance with an emphasis on commercial equipment and upkeep of building and grounds to maintain a safe and clean environment for learning.




Job Duties:
• Perform HVAC monitoring/maintenance for commercial buildings that would include knowledge in boilers, chillers and water source heat pumps (geo-thermal and water source heat pumps). • Perform general electrical repairs and service that includes working with voltages ranging from 120 to 480. Required to install receptacles, switches, breakers, ballast, and replace light fixtures. • Perform general commercial plumbing repairs and maintenance. • Perform dry wall repairs, painting repair, door repair, hanging, and installation of ceiling and floor tiles. Must be comfortable on ladders or scaffolds up to 30 feet. • Performs grounds maintenance such as: mowing, weed eating, trimming trees, planting, snow removal, parking lot repairs. Clean leaves, dirt, and debris from building entryways. Inspect and clean sidewalks, parking lots, and driveways as needed. Pick up trash across campus and its perimeter. • Perform general equipment repairs and furniture assembly. • Perform general custodial duties when custodial workers are off the schedule. Assists with set up and tear down for campus events with the custodial workers. • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or Director of Maintenance &amp; Operations. 




Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma with one year related experience. • Moderate physical requirements (lifting, bending, or other physical exertion). • Solid basic knowledge of general electric repairs and safety. • Demonstrated commitment to attendance, punctuality, safety, and general soft skills in the workplace. &nbsp;

Job Duties:

Provides online instruction to students in both theory and practice in Art. This position will remain open and filled as needed.




Job Duties:
Incorporates a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students with differing educational experiences, experiential backgrounds, and learning styles to assist them in meeting course competencies. Evaluates students’ progress toward stated course competencies and informs them of their progress in a timely manner.




Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Art from an accredited institution. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge, experience, or evidence of a commitment to inclusivity, and excellence in teaching methodologies that effectively engage our diverse student population. The candidate should have experience with instructional technologies, including presentation software and learning management systems (i.e., Blackboard). Candidates should also demonstrate proficiency with technology, as well as written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.&nbsp;

Job Summary
Gateway Community &amp; Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for Professional Tutors. Tutors support students in mastering course content through various formats, including homework assistance, test preparation, and skill-building. The goal is to help students develop effective learning strategies and academic confidence. We're currently seeking in-person tutoring support in the following subject areas:
<ul>
<li>Accounting/Business 
</li>
<li>English Language Learners (ELL) 
</li>
<li>Higher level mathatics college algebra, and higher</li>
<li>Chemistry and higher-level sciences</li>
</ul>
Tutoring may occur in embedded class settings, walk-in sessions, or online formats. Tutors will work individually or in small groups and are expected to document their sessions. Additionally, tutors may be asked to design and lead success workshops related to their subject area. Professional Tutors are also expected to pursue ongoing professional development, including continuing education and participation in trainings and meetings. Work hours will vary, with a maximum of 10 hours per week. This position will be 80% online, with 20% of work on campus - safe at work guidelines must be followed. Tutors may be assigned to different campus or center locations. 




Job Duties:

<li>Build and maintain relationships with key faculty members 
</li>
<li>Participate in at least 4 hours of professional development per semester 
</li>
<li>Uphold the Gateway Student Code of Conduct 
</li>
<li>Serve as a content liaison for tutors in your subject area 
</li>
<li>Communicate promptly with the coordinator and team 
</li>
<li>Maintain a positive and welcoming attitude toward all students 
</li>
<li>Be punctual, prepared, and engaged during tutoring sessions 
</li>
<li>Practice active listening and provide constructive feedback 
</li>
<li>Encourage student success and celebrate progress 
</li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality and professionalism 
</li>
<li>Use appropriate resources and refer students when necessary 
</li>
<li>Consult with the coordinator regarding student progress and concerns 
</li>
<li>Participate in training and required professional development 
</li>
<li>Reach out to students referred for tutoring 
</li>
<li>Accurately report hours worked and submit timesheets by the 15th and 30th of each month 
</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned 
</li>
</ul>




Minimum Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Associate’s degree or equivalent (2+ years of full-time college coursework) 
</li>
<li>Demonstrated competency in the subject(s) to be tutored 
</li>
<li>Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher from a previously obtained degree 
</li>
<li>Two recommendations from faculty or supervisors 
</li>
<li>Patience, kindness, dependability, and a genuine interest in helping others 
</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
</li>
<li>Ability to clearly explain and reinforce course content 
</li>
<li>At least one semester or 5 months of prior tutoring experience 
</li>
<li>Understanding of relevant subject matter and Gateway student needs 
</li>
<li>Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment 
</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) &nbsp;</li>
</ul>
