Instructor, Non-tenure eligible Department of Psychology Wright State University Dayton, Ohio Wright State’s Department of Psychology seeks applicants for an Instructor position to begin August 1, 2025. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or PsyD in Psychology or related discipline and prior experience teaching psychology courses. Preferred subfields are clinical, developmental, or closely related areas. Experience with delivering and/or developing high engagement class structures and developing/delivering online classes also is preferred. ABD&nbsp;candidates will be considered but must have a Ph.D. or PsyD by the start date or the offer will be withdrawn. In addition to providing up-to-date undergraduate course content, this position also will provide some mentoring for students interested in pursuing mental health careers and some guidance in pursuing internships or UG research experiences.The Department of Psychology is housed in the College of Science and Mathematics, offers a Ph.D. and M.S. in Human Factors and I/O Psychology, and has a large undergraduate (BA and BS) program including 5 undergraduate concentration areas: (1) Industrial/Organizational, (2) Clinical Psychology, (3) Cognition and Perception, (4) Behavioral Neuroscience, and (5) Pre-Health. Candidates will be expected to teach a mix of undergraduate courses (e.g., abnormal, clinical, other mental health, developmental, qualitative methods).&nbsp;This position is part of a larger search process in which we will be adding a few positions supporting Human Factors and Industrial Organizational Psychology.&nbsp; Further, there will be opportunities for this faculty hire to interact with clinical or other mental health faculty who support degree programs in other colleges.&nbsp;Wright State University is highly focused on student success, is nationally recognized for accessibility, and was recognized in 2022 in US News in their newest category: Social Mobility.
