<h4>Job Purpose</h4>
This position is responsible for representing the college with civic, business and educational leaders in the communities served and for planning and delivery of student services for the Lawrence campus
<h4>Essential Functions</h4>
<ul>
<li>Represent the college with civic, business, and educational leaders in the communities served by the Lawrence Campus.</li>
<li>Manage and direct&nbsp; the daily operations at the Lawrence Campus including facility maintenance and security.</li>
<li>Serve as the college liaison to provide, coordinate and implement all student and community services at the Lawrence Campus.</li>
<li>Provides enrollment and student services in the areas of admissions, records, financial aid, registration, testing, business services as well as student discipline.</li>
<li>Provide advising services as needed for credit and non-credit students.</li>
<li>Assist as requested with recruitment efforts at area and regional schools as directed and outlined in the college recruitment plan.</li>
<li>Assist with the collaboration and leading of on-boarding activities at the Lawrence Campus</li>
<li>Provide indirect supervision and direct support of faculty assigned to the Lawrence Campus.</li>
<li>Provide updates and requests for improvement of operations and academic schedule to the Dean of Regional Services and Southern Campuses.</li>
<li>Respond to questions and requests for student and community-related requests through email and social media assigned to the Lawrence Campus.</li>
<li>Administers budget for Lawrence Campus according to regulations and guidelines.</li>
<li>Provide development, oversight of programs and services that result in enrollment, progression, retention and graduation growth for the service area.</li>
</ul>

<li>Serve on college committees</li>
<li>Supervisor full-time staff as assigned</li>
<li>Supervise temporary staff, lab monitors, and student workers as assigned</li>
<li>Represent the college on boards and local committees</li>

<h4>Education, Training, and Experience Required</h4>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree, minimum</li>
<li>Minimum 2 years full-time supervisory experience in a college or business setting.</li>
<li>Documented involvement, leadership and success with civic and community activities.</li>
</ul>
<h4>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</h4>
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of active listening and general counseling techniques</li>
<li>Ability to provide effective individual and group student services counseling</li>
<li>Ability to establish, coordinate and implement independent management decisions</li>
<li>Knowledge of admissions, financial aid, testing, and records functions</li>
<li>Ability to effectively use information technology including Microsoft Office and related applications</li>
<li>Ability to interact with students and co-workers in a professional manner</li>
<li>Ability to be flexible and adaptable to support the goals of the college and its communities</li>
<li>Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a professional manner</li>
<li>Knowledge of Banner</li>
<li>Ability to work without direct supervision</li>
<li>Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously</li>
</ul>
<h4>Working Conditions</h4>
<ul>
<li>Regular work schedule 7:45 am – 4:15 pm Monday through Friday – Evening and weekend hours are necessary at times.</li>
<li>Visual and hand usage of computer terminal</li>
<li>May require travel to other campus locations.</li>
<li>Normal sitting and movement in an office environment.</li>

Columbia State Community College is seeking qualified individuals to join our part-time Security Guard pool. Security Guards help maintain a safe and secure environment for students, employees, and visitors by supporting campus safety operations as needed.


Additional Details:

<li>Duties may include monitoring campus facilities, patrolling grounds, responding to incidents, and assisting with emergency procedures. Work assignments, schedules, and location will vary based on departmental needs.</li>
