Lecturer - Organismal BiologyThe Department of Biological Sciences at UTEP invites applications for a Lecturer position. We are seeking a dynamic and innovative individual with a passion for teaching and mentoring in the field of general biology. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting our undergraduate programs through effective teaching, TA coordination, and curriculum development.The University of Texas at El Paso invites applications for a Lecturer beginning in August 2025. The lecturer will facilitate instruction and advance curriculum in the Introductory Biology Laboratory sequence (Biol 1107/1108). The focus for this position is BIOL 1108 - Organismal Biology which focuses on the structure and function of organisms within their environment and how the environment sculpts the organism. This position is a 9-month academic year appointment with the potential for additional salary for summer courses. Open Rank - Research Professor in Civil Engineering (2 Positions)The University of Texas at El Paso seeks two highly qualified research professors (open-rank) to join the Department of Civil Engineering and help us integrate a new water research initiative. The research professors are expected to form research collaborations with faculty across different departments and external collaborators such as industry, consulting firms, utility companies, national laboratories, and universities. The candidates are expected to sustain extramural funding and supervise a diverse group of undergraduate and graduate students and post-docs. With other faculty members, the new hires will play an essential role in training the next generation of water scientists and developing the workforce in the Paso del Norte region. The candidates will work with Civil Engineering faculty members to maintain and expand the Department's research capabilities for water quality analysis and create a recharge center to enable analyses through internal or external requests.Job Requirements:Candidates must demonstrate evidence of research productivity including peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and successful research collaborations.
