ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
70%&nbsp;Teaching: Teach Aviation Technology classes (General, Airframe, and Power Plant). Create instructional materials and laboratory experiences, teach courses at a variety of times in response to institutional needs, evaluate students’ progress toward achievement of stated student learning outcomes, and inform them promptly of their progress in the course. Contribute to the management of labs and equipment, develop or update course syllabi for courses within the college guidelines and curriculum as necessary to remain current with the industry, specifically FAA requirements, and review, evaluate, and recommend student learning materials. Work with other faculty, staff, and local industries and organizations to continually refine and improve the Aviation Technology program. Such duties to be performed include developing new course materials or courses as required to maintain program currency in emerging technologies in the field of Aviation Maintenance; completing assessment requirements relative to the program.
10% &nbsp;Faculty Service: Advise students. Serve on internal and external committees for the College and the community at large. Work with the Workforce and Community Development department to develop workforce solutions.
10%&nbsp;&nbsp;Professional Development (Teaching and Discipline): Learn emerging technologies and processes (including different computer platforms and related hardware, software, and instructional aids) used in teaching AVIT classes. Attend and/or present at local, regional, state, or national conferences as part of professional development activities. Work with AMT Program Director, faculty, the AMT Advisory Committee, and local industries and organizations to continually refine and improve related curricula. Help write grant proposals related to program goals and objectives. Participate in grant activities for awarded grants.
5%&nbsp; Share responsibility for day-to-day operation and routine upkeep of classrooms, labs, and equipment. Promote a safe working environment.
5%&nbsp; Along with other duties as assigned, assist in the promotion of the Aviation Technology program and recruitment of new students.

JOB STANDARDS:
The successful candidate must have:

<li>An associate’s degree in aviation maintenance or closely related field from a regionally accredited college/university and professional experience sufficient to meet SACSCOC criteria. Faculty members may have other professional credentials qualify them in lieu of academic credentials. Academic deans must submit documentation justifying alternative credentials for approval by the chief academic officer and the SACSCOC liaison.</li>
<li>Minimum of one year of relevant industrial experience and/or experience teaching a range of aviation-based classes.</li>
<li>FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification is required.</li>
<li>Experience with CFR 14 part 145.</li>
<li>Experience with providing training in an industrial setting or teaching in an educational environment.</li>
<li>Experience developing aviation training courses and materials.</li>
</ol>
Experience developing aviation training courses in collaboration with the FAA and FAA representative.
<ol>
<li>Evidence of strong oral and written communication, computer and presentation skills; A teaching demonstration will be required at the interview.</li>
<li>A commitment to student success and ability to build partnerships in the industry.</li>

Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this evening instructor role is to deliver high-quality instruction that fosters student learning and cultivates a positive educational environment. The focus will be on teaching and assessing students in both classroom and laboratory settings. This position requires a commitment of 7.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, totaling 37.5 hours per week, with a 30-minute lunch break. HVAC/R PROGRAM SUMMARY: The Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration program is an individual program that prepares students to work in various jobs in air conditioning and refrigeration. Students are prepared to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and commercial refrigeration, air conditioning, heat pumps, humidifiers, and electrical and gas heating. Students also learn the fundamentals of electricity, electric motors, and controls. Graduates of the program will be able to install and braze refrigeration tubing, diagnose electrical problems, install duct systems, repair light commercial equipment, recover air conditioning and refrigeration refrigerants, and locate and repair leaks.

Duties and&nbsp;Responsibilities:
65% Provide individual reference service and group information literacy instruction, both in-person and online. Reference services are available in-person and via phone, email, text, chat, and appointment. In support of instruction services, collaborate with the Instruction Coordinator and Reference Librarian on various projects to support the Libraries’ instruction program.
30% Participate in the ongoing development and maintenance of the library’s web services, including LibGuides, FAQs, and online tutorials, using various applications, including LibApps, PowerPoint, Camtasia, Snagit, Zoom, and related software. Seek out and implement appropriate emerging technologies.
5% Maintain knowledge of current professional library practices, including reference and teaching practices. Collaborate on special projects, such as collection development

Job Title: Culinary Arts Operations Manager
Job Grade:&nbsp;213
Campus Location: WSCC-Sevier County Campus (Employees are assigned to a “home” location but may occasionally or regularly be required to work at other WSCC locations.)
Job Purpose:&nbsp;The purpose of this position is to manage the Bistro Operations and Retail Bakery Management classes, coordinate and oversee special events &amp; catering for the Culinary Arts program, and advise students majoring in Culinary Arts/Business at the Sevier County campus. Also assists in culinary arts classes and in student recruitment as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
<ul>
<li>Oversees Bistro and Retail Bakery operations by coordinating with course instructors to integrate weekly instruction in the development of menus. Establishes and maintains production timelines, assigns tasks to students, and supervises their training and performance in both the bistro and bakery. Delivers high-quality customer service, supports food preparation, sets menu pricing, and ensures compliance with safety and sanitation standards specified by the board of health and supported through internal procedures.</li>
<li>Coordinates on-site and off-site non-student focused catering events for the culinary arts department to enhance student learning and community involvement. Coordination of events includes reserving space and logging details for events, coordinating materials and personnel, and supervising the event.</li>
<li>Develops and coordinates student-focused special events and class-driven meals within the department to enhance student learning and community involvement. Reserves space and logs details for events, coordinates materials and personnel, and supervises the event.</li>
<li>Advises Culinary Arts students during orientation sessions and before each semester to support academic planning and success. Assists with student recruitment efforts both on campus and at off-site events. Acting club advisor for the Culinarians Guild.</li>
<li>Coordinates and maintains inventory for Bistro and Bakery Operations, initiates weekly food orders, and organizes products in correct locations.</li>
<li>Monitors and maintains American Culinary Federations (ACF) accreditation standards for the Culinary Arts program to include completion of annual reports and accreditation paperwork. Participates in advisory board meetings.</li>
<li>May perform other duties as required.</li>

Required Qualifications:

<li>An Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts or Food Science OR at least 3 years of related experience in related field working with food.

<li>Must hold a valid National Restaurant Association ServSafe certification

<li>Two years of experience in training and supervising foodservice individuals or small groups.

<li>One year of experience in working on a food line. 
</li>

Environment &amp; Working Conditions:&nbsp;The position operates primarily in a kitchen, which could experience temperature fluctuations, noise, and some potential hazards. Mishandling of equipment could lead to cuts or burns from kitchen equipment. Chemicals used for cleaning could also result in skin irritation.

Position Summary: Do you have a passion for sharing your expertise, craft or hobby with others? Pellissippi State’s noncredit lifelong learning program offers personal enrichment classes for the community with a wide range of topics, including: fitness, languages, musical instruments, arts and crafts, wellness, history, and more. Class participants are community members ages 18+. Some of the many benefits of teaching a lifelong learning class include working with engaged and enthusiastic adult learners and flexible class scheduling.
 Our noncredit class schedule is released twice a year: spring/summer and fall. Classes can be as short as 90 minutes or up to 20 hours in length. Position Summary: Assist Custodial and Waste Management supervisor in keeping all campus facilities clean and sanitary including assisting in building inspections as part of the oversight of the housekeeping contract. Duties will include manual cleaning of windows, glass, furniture and floors, etc., as well as keeping restrooms clean and stocked with supplies during the day. Clean entrances and doorways weekly or as needed. Respond to clean up calls at all campuses.
Essential Functions: 
30% Clean bathroom facilities, walls, floors; replenish supplies; and clear clogged commodes
20% Clean floors in corridors, stairwells, offices, classrooms, labs and other areas as assigned.
5% Assist supervisor with building inspections on all campuses. Clean areas that the contractor has missed overnight.
10% Collect and remove trash and other debris from buildings, including building entryways, connecting walkways between buildings, and campus grounds; clean trash containers when trash is removed.
10% Wash windows and glass; polish furniture, clean stairway railings and woodwork and perform high dusting.
5% Clean offices as necessary during office transitions or reconfigurations.
10% Aid supervisor on work order coverage and response to cleanup calls on all campuses.
5% Learn safety data sheets, proper removal of blood borne pathogens, and mold; adhere to all policies and guidelines.
5% Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:&nbsp; 
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED as well as a proficiency in literacy as this employee must complete OSHA training pertaining to safety in the workplace, blood borne pathogens, MSDS and right to know information, and chemical safety. Three years’ experience cleaning in a commercial environment preferred.
Part-time work experience is calculated at 50% credit of full-time work experience.
