Family Mentors, in collaboration with Department for Community Based Services’ social workers and the Sobriety Treatment and Recovery Team (START), are responsible for providing mentoring to clients receiving substance abuse treatment. Family Mentors will serve as team members in planning, supporting and implementing strategies for prevention and building strong partnerships with community providers to help parents. Family Mentors assess client situations, capabilities, and problems to determine what services are required to meet their needs. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Customer service skills are necessary.
