Under the direction of the UK PATHways Program Director, the Peer Prevention Specialist will mentor perinatal women enrolled in prenatal clinics and receiving substance abuse treatment. The specialist should demonstrate an understanding of the experiences and feelings of their peers and share their own recovery stories to inspire hope, courage, and strength. This role requires travel to UK clinics and hospitals, as well as communication with patients via phone and multimedia. Clinical documentation is also necessary. Additionally, the Peer Prevention Specialist will be responsible for collecting and recording data for research projects and state-sponsored grants.
