JOB SUMMARY
The Cataloging and Systems Librarian fosters critical thinking and lifelong learning skills by providing access to resources that promote success.&nbsp; Primary responsibilities ensure that both physical and digital library resources are accessible to individuals through the selection and purchase of materials, creation and curation of metadata, and maintenance of library-related systems to ensure optimal functionality.
The Cataloging and Systems Librarian also participates in the development of library policies and procedures, represents the department in both campus committees and inter-departmental meetings, assists individuals at the reference and circulation desk, and ensures smooth day-to-day library operations in the absence of the Library Director.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Library Systems Maintenance (25%)
<ul>
<li>Serve as the Alma and Primo Certified Administrator: configuring systems to meet Cleveland State’s needs, implementing Alma extensions, using Ex Libris Developer Network tools and APIs to design and maintain front-end (Primo) customizations, maximizing workflows to increase efficiency, monitoring system performance, and coordinating system upgrades.</li>
<li>Provide quality control oversight and perform maintenance activities for LibApps and other library software, suggest and coordinate system software and hardware upgrades, and train staff on system updates and upgrades.</li>
<li>Diagnose and correct issues with database and/or library catalog access, and patch online resources that are inaccessible or malfunctioning.</li>
<li>Coordinate with the IT department and vendors to create seamless authorizations for on- and off-site access and address larger-scale access issues.</li>
</ul>

Cataloging (20%)
<ul>
<li>Perform original and copy cataloging of library materials in all formats and maintain batch processing of metadata for electronic resources.</li>
<li>Ensure overall compliance with national and local library standards (MARC, RDA, AACR2, NACO, DCRM, LCSH, and LCC) for cataloging and classification practices, in addition to any other appropriate cataloging or metadata standards for resource description.</li>
<li>Proofread published catalog records to ensure adherence to standard practices and edit/update existing catalog records to improve access.</li>
</ul>
Reference Assistance (15%)
<ul>
<li>Assist students, faculty, staff, and community patrons in person, by phone, by email, and via LibChat with finding physical and digital items in the online catalog and databases, assessing the academic integrity of sources, and building proper citations in various citation styles.</li>
<li>Provide course support in library research skills as requested by faculty, including leading class workshops, creating video tutorials, and developing online research guides and handouts.</li>
</ul>
Collection Development (15%)
<ul>
<li>Create policies and procedures governing the print collection.</li>
<li>Assist in the selection and purchase of books and periodicals.</li>
<li>Coordinate the deselection and stacks maintenance processes including running usage reports, maintaining records on lost and missing items, soliciting faculty input, and training and supervising student workers.</li>

Circulation Desk Assistance (15%)

<li>Receive and process government documents according to depository guidelines.</li>

TCAT Pulaski is accepting applications for the full-time, 10-month position of Industrial Maintenance Technology Instructor to be located at Giles County High School for Dual Enrollment CTE students.
<ol>
<li>This position is being partially funded by the Governor’s Investment in Vocational Education (GIVE) 3.0 Grant.</li>
</ol>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul>
<li>Strong hands-on technical background in mechanical maintenance, electrical motor controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, computer software and hardware skills, AC/DC electrical, multimeter use, and technical math.</li>
<li>Minimum three (3) years of successful experience in the Industrial Maintenance field within the last five years.</li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Evidence of potential teaching ability.</li>

Job Summary
Jackson State Community College seeks a full-time instructor to teach college level and co-requisite support math courses appropriate for a two-year college curriculum. Math faculty help students advance their math skills in preparation for working in professional environments, furthering academic study, and developing careers. The teaching assignment may include online classes, virtual classes, day and evening classes, and teaching at off-campus locations, and the faculty member is responsible for the success of the teaching and learning process within the classroom. POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Department Head and/or Lead Faculty, Adjunct Faculty have as their chief duty the instruction of assigned college-level and/or learning support classes. Adjunct faculty teach classes that are scheduled during the day or evening, taught in a variety of formats, and at several different locations, including off-campus sites and local high schools. Responsibilities include: conducting classes using appropriate instructional practices, maintaining records of attendance, evaluating student performance on assignments, monitoring and communicating progress to students and the appropriate college employees, assigning midterm grades and final grades, completing mandatory training as needed, and performing other duties as assigned. Beyond teaching responsibilities, Adjunct Faculty are also obligated to comply with and support college policies as outlined in the Strategic Plan, the College Catalog, the Adjunct Faculty Handbook, and the Employment Agreement.
