Position Summary:&nbsp;The overall purpose of this job is to collect and process materials from indoor and outdoor recycle bins at all buildings at all campuses for the purpose of supporting the college recycling program.
Essential Functions:
60%&nbsp;Check all inside and outside recycle bins on all campuses for the purpose of recycling. Empty bins as necessary, clean bins and replace bags. Collect all loose cardboard boxes and other materials that are too large to fit into the bins from departments in the college for recycling.
10%&nbsp;Collect metals from industrial labs for recycling.
20%&nbsp;Sort recycling materials from all sources. Deposit sorted materials into the recycling trailers.
5%&nbsp;Hitch the recycle trailer to the truck and deliver collected recycling materials to the recycle facility for emptying.
5%&nbsp;Other duties as assigned.

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Must be able to use a personal computer. Must Possess a valid TN driver's license. Additionally, the ability to drive a 20ft trailer and operate hydraulic machinery effectively and efficiently is required.
Physical Demands:&nbsp;Walking, standing, sitting, driving and lifting are all essential in this position. The employee should be able to lift up to 60 lbs. Regular lifting of items such as bags of recycled items and boxes of liner bags will be required. The employee is also expected to travel between campuses. The employee must be able to hear large equipment and associated sounds such as reverse signal sounds. The employee must be able to visually check and empty recycle bins. The employee must be able to see to drive state vehicles that are towing large industrial trailers. The employee must be able to distinguish the color between browns, whites, and other pastel colors.
The employee will sometimes work in a classroom and regularly in an outdoor environment. Some campus events take place outside during the cooler and hotter months and the employee should be prepared for cold, heat, and sun exposure. The employee also must travel to and walk about each campus. Employee must be able to drive state vehicle that have attachable towing trailers without incident for up to two hours at a time to site campuses to pick-up recycling; and will be required to get in and out of large trucks and trailers.
Hazards: Moderate possibility of injury, driving, lifting, hauling, and/or contagious illness when touching items collected for recycle. Also, exposure to recycling facilities can result in cuts from broken glass, mechanical injuries, potential fall risks, hazards, and all possible contamination therein.

50% -In coordination with Pellissippi’s Workforce Development department, develop and conduct outreach and recruitment activities for middle school and high school students focused on advanced manufacturing and construction programs. Activities will include but may not be limited to: career fairs/expos; information sessions, career awareness, exploration, preparation, and training bootcamp experiences (2-3 per year) including 3D Printing and other Advanced Manufacturing-focused content such as machining, robotics, etc.
10%- Conduct information sessions for high school students and their parents, highlighting pathways into advanced manufacturing and construction-related fields
10%- Provide career awareness, exploration, preparation, and training support services for pre-college and college student participants, including, but not limited to: career interest/aptitude assessment and analysis; academic and career advising, etc.

Essential Functions: 
50% 1. In collaboration with the Director, Student Engagement and Leadership, develop, coordinate, and implement co-curricular student activities programming that meet the missions of the college, Student Engagement and Leadership Office, and the needs of the student body.

<li>Promote learning and development of students by creating and supporting learning outcome-based programming and constructing opportunities to practice leadership and organizational skills.</li>
<li>Supervise the Student Engagement Student Staff, advise Student Activities Board, and manage the student hiring process for all SESS positions.</li>
<li>Complete administrative tasks related to event planning, including requisitions, room reservations and catering request</li>
<li>Coordinate publicity, digital media, marketing, promotions, and social media for events. Design promotional items for distribution across the college in collaboration with Marketing and Communications</li>
<li>Assist in creating and implementing all student leader-training events.</li>
<li>Develop assessment tools to gauge success and achievement of learning outcomes</li>

25% 3. &nbsp;Assist students and advisors in the creation, operations, and recognition of student organizations across the college. Ensures that all college and TBR system policies related to student organizations and student travel are followed. Develop and coordinate ongoing training sessions for student organization leaders and advisors, and opportunities for communication and information sharing. Plan and execute mandatory education and training sessions for organizations each semester.
10% 4. Serve as the staff advisor for National Society of Leadership and Success and the Student Activities Board. Provide necessary support to Student Government Association and Skills USA
5% 5. Serve on College committees as assigned; participate in relevant professional organizations, and professional development activities that enhance the College mission. Some travel related to job duties across the region and state. Other duties as assigned.

15% Credentialing &amp; Certification Guidance:
Works with Director of Career Development to develop employability-related industry-recognized credential opportunities that are relevant to educational and industry pathways based on demand from workforce partners. Offer information/prep sessions on the importance of certification in specific industries, creating a roadmap for students.
10% Data Collection, Monitoring &amp; Reporting: 
Work closely with the Title III Project Director and Student Experience Data manager to monitor and report on transfer rates, WBL participation, and students’ career transitions. Regularly assess the efficacy of career, transfer, and WBL services, refining strategies based on student feedback and changing industry requirements.
5% Resource &amp; Partnership Development 
Use the College’s tools and programs (i.e., Handshake, YouScience, and Navigate) to establish a repository of career, transfer, and credentialing resources accessible to students. 5% Administration: 
The incumbent will submit monthly reports to the Director of Career Development and Project Director detailing progress toward Title III grant deliverables.
Serve on College committees as assigned; participate in relevant professional organizations and professional development activities that enhance the College mission. Some travel related to job duties across Knox and Blount counties, the east TN region, and the state. Other duties as assigned.

<li>Increased industry credentialing among students to better position them for the job market.</li>

Job Requirements:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in career development, Career and Technical Education, Workforce Development, academic advising, or transfer coordination within the context of higher education.</li>
<li>Four years of experience in Higher Education, Career and Technical Education, or Workforce Development.</li>
</ul>
Part-time work experience is calculated at 50% credit of full-time work experience.

Physical Demands: 
An extensive amount of walking, standing, traveling, and lifting, including a minimum of 30 lbs lifting, is required. Additionally, the job involves a significant amount of computer work.
Hazards: 
Injury from lifting or standing for long periods of time, and injuries from activities/programming.
