The University of Nevada, Reno seeks an Executive Director of Major and Principal Gifts to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy that advances university-wide initiatives and institutional priorities outlined in the University’s strategic plan. This leadership role is responsible for cultivating relationships, securing transformational gifts, and fostering cross-campus collaboration to strengthen the University’s philanthropic impact. The Executive Director will ensure the University is well-positioned to compete for and secure major and principal gifts that directly support innovative academic programs, research, and key university initiatives. The Executive Director will build and manage a comprehensive principal gifts program to increase philanthropic support from high-net-worth individuals and family foundations. This position develops and implements strategies to enhance giving across the University’s 13 colleges, major academic programs, and institutional priorities.&nbsp;As a senior fundraising leader, this role serves as a key relationship manager and strategic partner, collaborating with faculty, deans, university leadership, and advancement colleagues to foster lifelong donor engagement and alignment with the University’s teaching and research mission. The department is hiring three of these positions. The faculty in these positions will also serve as Concurrent Enrollment Coordinators, working with a tenure-track faculty member to administer the department's English Collegiate Academy program. Collegiate Academy is a dual credit program offering high school students the opportunity to earn college credit. The applicant who fills this position will be responsible for facilitating monthly professional development meetings with teachers; leading weekly meetings with TAs and their partnering teachers; participating in biweekly meetings with instructors; meeting weekly with the program director; communicating with teachers, TAs, and instructors; updating program materials; and helping plan and run TA orientation during the summer.
