The Associate Director will be responsible for the implementation and management of strategies to foster a diverse and inclusive environment on campus. The selected candidate will serve as a strategic thought partner in the creation of initiatives to advance diversity and inclusion for all members of the NYU Stern community of students, faculty and staff. They will work in a highly collaborative manner to facilitate intersection among all students and student groups to promote intercultural understanding and create and enhance a supportive campus climate for underrepresented students. The Associate Director will track progress towards improving diversity, inclusion, belonging, and equity across the school community, and will collaborate with administrative leaders in student engagement on work with student clubs and organizations with a special emphasis on student affinity groups and students who are from underrepresented groups.<h2>Qualifications</h2>The selected candidate must have a bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant progressively responsible professional-level experience in a higher education, non-profit, or corporate setting, professional experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion, experience working with multiple departments or working on broad-based projects, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, strategic, management and systems skills are required. Strong relationship management and program management skills, proven ability to plan and implement programs with quantifiable results are also required.<h2>Additional Information</h2>In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $90,000.00. Assistant Professor of Law and Justice StudiesPurchase College, SUNY, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in our Law and Justice Studies program to begin Sep. 1, 2025. Our B.A. in Law and Justice examines interconnections between justice systems, social institutions, and lived experience, and critically engages political, historical, economic, and global forces at play. Coursework explores how law and criminal justice are mediated by questions of authority and power, tensions between individual liberty and social responsibility, and interpretations of justice and fairness. Students build substantive knowledge in their area of interest, develop transferrable legal skills (analysis, argumentation, research, writing), and prepare for advanced study (law or graduate school) and/or employment in a range of industries where law is relevant (e.g., government agencies, law firms, court systems, insurance companies, banks, legal departments, etc.).We are looking for a candidate who can design and teach a wide range of undergraduate law and justice courses.&nbsp; Our current offerings include courses in criminal justice, youth justice, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), forensic science, immigration law, family law, constitutional law, comparative law, business law, entertainment law, theories of justice, and legal research. The regular teaching obligation for full-time faculty at Purchase College is 3 courses per semester. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will be expected to advise students in the major, assist with curriculum assessment and revisioning as needed, participate in service to the college, and maintain a research agenda or other professional achievement in the field.
