Job Summary
The primary purpose of the Nursing Instructor - Simulation is to provide quality simulated nursing clinical experiences to nursing students at Hopkinsville Community College. 




Job Duties:
Effectively teach simulated clinical experiences for the nursing division as assigned by the college (assignments may be at any campus site). • Develop and implement simulated nursing clinical experiences. • Provide for and be actively involved in on-going evaluations, development, and enhancement of simulation • Actively utilize instructional and discipline research data to employ methods for continuous improvement in instructional and institutional effectiveness. • Actively utilize technology as a learning tool and actively evaluate instructional tools for effective learning in the area of simulation. • Participate in academic and student enhancement activities, including student advising. • Maintain and improve, through professional development, competence in discipline knowledge and instructional techniques, including capabilities in the development of simulation. • Participate in internal and external service activities (college committees, system committees, community relations). • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 




Minimum Qualifications:
• Nursing faculty shall hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. • RN license to practice in Kentucky, with a minimum of two years experience as a registered nurse within the past five years. • Experience with simulation technology and create of simulation experiences preferred. • Desire and enthusiasm to grow and learn the dynamics of simulation with attendance at conferences and future certification in the area. &nbsp;

GENERAL DUTIES:&nbsp; The Truck Driving Associate Instructor is responsible for working in conjunction with a second instructor to provide individualized theory and hands-on instruction to adult students to prepare them for employment as commercial truck drivers. Areas of instruction include, but are not limited to: safety regulations; driving techniques for various situations; truck and trailer operation; hazardous materials transportation, etc. The Associate Instructor must monitor, grade and evaluate individual student progress; maintain student records in the college’s student records management software and other required databases; maintain appropriate documentation; submit timely reports; assist in recruiting new students; assist with graduate placement; develop, maintain and update program curriculum and lesson plans, and participate in professional development. This position must also maintain good public relations with business and industry; maintain an active advisory committee, and cooperate with outside agencies. The position is full-time and reports to the Clarksville Campus Director. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Scheduled class hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Instruction is delivered in-person. The primary purpose of the full time Nursing – Staff Instructor III is to organize and assist in the planning of campus lab nursing student experiences for all levels of the Nursing Department.




Job Duties:
Organizes and assists in the planning of the campus lab nursing student experience for all levels of the Nursing Department to include Nurse Aide, Practical Nursing, and Associate Degree Nursing Programs. The person in this position will teach nurse aide courses (depending on qualifications) and participate in testing nurse aide students for the Kentucky Medicaid Nurse Aide registry. • Assist students in the practice of skills and help students who need remediation in skills. • Assist in simulation lab with simulation coordinator as assigned. • Work closely with the nursing faculty and director in planning classroom space and activities. Schedule classroom space to meet the needs of faculty and students working with other campus resource personnel. Schedule and accommodate student usage of computer programs, videos, and equipment. • Assist with the organization and care of the lab space and equipment. • Set up campus labs for faculty instruction and skills demonstration and keep the labs organized and ready for the next class. • Maintain labs in a physically and environmentally safe and presentable manner, as well as adhere to all OSHA standards and college policies. • Assist in the ordering and maintaining of current inventory of supplies and in completing equipment requests. • Assist nursing director in budget and SNA preparation with needs of the labs. • Work with the HCC Bookstore to plan and oversee the purchase of nurse packets for students. • Teach at least one NAA 100 course or manage at least one clinical group per semester (depending on qualifications). • Participate as a tester in the Kentucky Nurse Aide testing on HCC campus as needed. • Attend nursing faculty meetings as available when not in student activities. • Perform other duties as assigned.

Title: Instructor, Psychology – 9/10 Month (Term) – Clarksville Campus
POSITION SUMMARY This position is a full-time faculty position responsible for preparing and delivering quality instruction in Psychology.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. This position will be based on the Clarksville campus with teaching assignments primarily at the Clarksville campus. Additional teaching assignments are possible at any campus or site at which NSCC instruction takes place. Within a minimum workweek of 37.5 hours, teach a minimum of 15 hours and hold office hours. Complete all required reports such as attendance, early alerts, progress reports, and grade submissions. Administer and return questionnaires and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines. Prepare and analyze data for student outcome assessments as assigned.
Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Provide academic advising to students with an emphasis on retention and success. Remain current in the teaching area(s) through appropriate professional development activities. Actively participate on committees within the Department of Social Sciences, the School of Business and Professional Studies, and college-wide committees and engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities. Job Summary
Effectively teach and coordinate Electrical Technology courses and serve as the program coordinator.




Job Duties:
• Effectively teach and coordinate Electrical Technology courses and serve as the program coordinator. • Responsible for program effectiveness, including student learning outcomes, continuous review, assessment, and development. • Create and actively engage all areas of the Electrical Technology sector’s academic initiatives to include any credential audits and apprenticeship relationships within the community. • Provide for and be actively involved in on-going evaluations, development, and enhancement of Electrical Technology offerings. • Develop strategic plan for improving the Electrical Technology program to include scheduling, recruitment efforts to draw students into the Electrical Technology program offerings, advising, and advisory board effectiveness. • Maintain community relations within the service area, and oversee an active advisory council for the Electrical Technology Program. • Participate in academic and student enhancement activities, including student advising. • Maintain and improve, through professional development, competence in discipline knowledge and instructional techniques. • Participate in internal and external service activities (college committees, system committees, community relations). • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 




Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate degree in qualifying field (Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology, Engineering Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology) and 3 years of experience as an industrial, residential, or commercial electrician. • Demonstrated commitment to quality instruction, student learning, and instructional and institutional effectiveness. • Demonstrated effective technology skills, communication skills (written and verbal), and organizational and human relations skills. • Demonstrated commitment to the comprehensive community college concept and team management. • Demonstrated commitment to the KCTCS/Hopkinsville Community College strategic plan. &nbsp;




Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Master electrician license in the state of Kentucky (or eligible for licensure under reciprocity) and eight (8) years of experience as an electrician.</li>
<li>Experience in residential wiring is preferred.</li>
