Qualifications:

Job Summary

Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Advising, the Adult Success Coach is responsible for monitoring, advising, registering, and coaching a caseload of nontraditional students to support academic success.
Job Duties
• Provide proactive and individualized coaching for the assigned student population, leveraging social media and other digital communications to check in with students regularly and remind them of key deadlines and other important information
• Facilitate student recruitment, enrollment, and retention
• Provide academic advisement and registration assistance to assigned student population

Job Summary
The Custodian (3rd Shift) maintains the cleanliness of the office buildings and classrooms of the college. They are expected to know cleaning methods and procedures as well as the material and equipment used in custodial work.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Sweep and mop stairs, corridors, offices, classrooms, and multi-function rooms.</li>
<li>Vacuum carpet and spot clean carpet when necessary.</li>
<li>Wash windows.</li>
<li>Provide hard surface floor maintenance techniques including dust mopping, wet mopping, buffing and application of floor finishes including wax removal products.</li>
<li>Polish furniture and clean woodwork.</li>
<li>Pick up paper and debris on the grounds adjacent to the building entrances.</li>
<li>Empty trash cans and clean containers.</li>
<li>Clean restroom walls, floors, and fixtures and replenish bathroom supplies.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Clean light fixtures and HVAC distribution registers.</li>
<li>Maintain cleaning equipment.</li>
<li>Stock and maintain janitor’s closets.</li>
<li>Operate cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaner, buffer, floor scrubber and other associated equipment.</li>

Minimum Qualifications

      Custodian - Third Shift (Pool)
    

Dyersburg State Community College invites applicants for English adjunct instructors for day, evening, and online classes held in Dyersburg, Covington, Paris, or at one of our other off-campus centers. Initial assignment may be at one of our teaching locations, but the official work station assignment may change each semester. The successful applicant will become certified and fully use the course management system (eLearn) for all classes. The applicant will also attend required meetings, report attendance, early alert notifications, and final grades prior to the established deadline, and will communicate curriculum and personnel needs or changes as appropriate to their assigned chair/dean. This position reports to the Chair of Language, Arts &amp; First Year Experience and the Dean of Arts, Sciences &amp; Technologies.
Requirements of the Position
Duties and Responsibilities: Teach assigned courses for discipline in Covington, Dyersburg, and/or Paris; prepare course materials; evaluate student learning, maintain class records, and submit required reports on time.
Working Conditions: Sedentary: Desk work; occasional travel may be required for college or program activities. Insignificant effort other than normal movement.&nbsp; Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office settings. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.
Required Qualifications: Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate semester hours in English.
Ability to communicate effectively with students and other college personnel required.&nbsp;
