Adjunct Nursing Faculty - Simulation

The Admissions Coordinator is primarily responsible for the front desk support of the Admissions Department with particular focus on customer service and the prospective student entrance process. Assists with gathering information, pre-screening and pre-qualifying potential students to ensure a trouble-free student admission and processing system; and performs routine clerical, office and data entry tasks. Provides excellent customer service to prospective and enrolled students in accordance with the mission and purpose of the school.Essential Functions &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Facilitates and ensures timely customer service of current and potential students.</li><li>Assures that prospective students complete all required forms for enrollment and processing by prescreening all student applications; submits to applicable Admissions Representative.</li><li>Assists in the resolution of student and prospective student inquiries, questions and/or problems; refers to appropriate person as needed.</li><li>Screens telephone calls and routes to appropriate individuals. Summary:<ul><li>Responsible for the evaluation and processing of transfer credit for multiple campuses at West Coast University.</li><li>Will receive, evaluate equivalency against internal transfer credit equivalency system (TES) and recommend equivalencies to the appropriate Subject Matter Expert.</li><li>Will maintain the University's Transfer Equivalency System and evaluate transfer credit in a timely fashion.</li><li>Will act as the liaison between the Transfer Credit Evaluation team, Campus Registrar and Admissions staff.</li></ul>Responsibilities:<ul><li>Receive, evaluate, and document course equivalency for transfer credit requests from sources including colleges and universities, international institutions, military service, professional certification or training, offerings with ACE recommendations, and national and WCU exams, including AP, CLEP, DSST per existing policies and procedures for all incoming or returning applicants to the University.</li><li>Research various institutions for accreditation, academic programs, and curriculum to determine and maintain transfer credit equivalencies, continuously review existing equivalencies, and update ambiguous or outdated information as needed with a Subject Matter Expert.</li><li>Administer transfer credit promptly, adhering to accreditation, calendar systems, credits, grades, and, if necessary, course recency following established policies.</li><li>Advise associates and students on transfer credit policies, maintaining exemplary internal and external communication with students and departments (admissions, registrar, academics, university administration).</li><li>Enter all transfer credit decisions in the Student Information System and the Transfer Evaluation Systems (TES), ensuring evaluations and transcripts are managed and maintained appropriately in the student's digital file system.</li><li>Coordinate with the Assistant University Registrar to prepare reports on transfer credit timing, effectiveness, and analysis for university leadership and assist with the review and application of articulation agreements.</li><li>Multitask on multiple projects, producing high-quality work under competing or tight deadlines, and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or university leadership.</li><li>Maintains established department policies and procedures and attends in-service and other required meetings.</li><li>Maintain regular and timely attendance, professional appearance, order, cleanliness, and safety at work, and exercise care in the use and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.</li><li>Maintain strict confidentiality of student information in compliance with FERPA and adhere to University policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethical Conduct, Compliance Agreement, Sexual Harassment Policy, and applicable federal and state laws and professional standards.</li><li>Regular attendance and/or travel to a campus location may be required to attend meetings or trainings, provide campus support, and open mailed transcripts.</li></ul>Qualifications Required:<ul><li>A Bachelor's degree is required with&nbsp;3-5 years of related experience.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of student information systems and development of reports as they relate to student records and registration.</li><li>Experience with MS Office.</li><li>Knowledge of applicable databases and computer application systems to supply the most accurate information, reports and projections.</li><li>Knowledge of state, federal and local laws/regulations relating to programs, governmental compliance and other regulatory standards such as WASC, BPPE and other accreditation standards.</li><li>Ability to interpret and apply administrative and departmental rules, policies, and procedures.</li><li>Ability to compose correspondence independently.</li><li>Ability to compile and maintain complex and extensive records and files for a department.</li><li>Ability to represent the department using good judgment, poise, tact, and diplomacy.</li><li>Ability to multi-task and prioritize;
