Job Summary

GENERAL DUTIES:&nbsp; The Facilities Support Associate 4 will perform building maintenance and related work as required in a variety of areas including, but not limited to: electrical, plumbing, lighting, landscaping, painting, carpentry, and HVAC. Working independently, but under the direction of the Lead Facilities Support Associate 6 and supervision of the Vice President of Operations, this position is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment; ensuring facilities meet environmental, health and safety standards; performing tasks related to facility and grounds upkeep; assisting in maintaining mechanical and electrical systems or performing equipment maintenance; assisting with moving furniture or other large items; assisting with setting up for events; performing landscaping and mowing tasks, and other duties as assigned. This position is also expected to serve as back-up to custodial personnel during their absence. During inclement weather events or emergency maintenance situations, facilities personnel may be called in to work outside of regularly scheduled work hours. Job Summary
Hopkinsville Community College invites applications for our part-time Philosophy adjunct faculty pool. These are temporary, part-time positions used to fill classroom vacancies as needed when regular full-time faculty are not available due to increased enrollment, workload, or scheduling: days, evenings, weekends, and/or online.




Job Duties:
Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities, and prepares learning materials for special studies. Provides instructions to students in both theory and practice in the particular area of instruction. Prepares lesson plans and maintains records and reports on student attainment and progress. Maintains classroom order and discipline.




Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Philosophy or a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields. Qualifying fields are ethics, logic, and philosophy. We are interested in adjuncts who can teach the class in person and/or online. &nbsp;
