Essential Functions:

Title: Maintenance Technician
POSITION SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, performs basic maintenance and repairs to electrical, plumbing and other building systems and provides general carpentry, painting and commercial building repair/maintenance services across all seven of the College’s campuses.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responds to and completes work orders for various maintenance projects and requests in a timely manner. Performs basic plumbing maintenance, including repairing faucets, caulking fixtures, running clogged drain lines and rebuilding &amp; replacing plumbing fixtures. Performs electrical repairs, including replacing light fixtures, lightbulbs and electrical receptacles and switches.
Prepares, primes and paints interior and exterior building surfaces. Installs and repairs drywall, glass, handrails, window blinds, ceiling tile, carpet/floor tiles, baseboard molding, etc. Maintains and repairs doors, locks, closers. Repairs or replaces defective equipment. Conducts preventative repairs on an annual, monthly, weekly and daily basis as needed/assigned.
Travels to extended campuses as assigned to perform routine and preventative maintenance and to assess condition of buildings/systems. Maintains a parts, supplies and equipment inventory and advises supervisor when inventory needs to be replenished. Moves chairs, desks, file cabinets and other furniture and equipment. Assembles furniture as needed. Assists with indoor and outdoor College event set-up and break-down, including tables, chairs, podiums, risers, stages, drapes, banners, etc., along with other miscellaneous requests.

Ability to safely use various tools and equipment, such as hammers, drills, saws, wrenches, snow shovels, compressors, golf carts, forklifts, motor vehicle, etc. Working knowledge of building systems, campus operational requirements and utility systems.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with work order and preventative maintenance systems. Ability to frequently walk, stand, stoop, crawl, climb, bend, kneel, work on elevated surfaces, work in small/confined spaces, work overhead and be in awkward positions for extended period of time. Ability to regularly push, pull, lift, move and carry 30 to 50 pounds. Ability to work occasional nights and weekends as needed to support campus events and/or respond to maintenance and weather emergencies.

      Maintenance Technician
    

Full-time, twelve-month Painter/Utility Worker position reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. Performs activities related to painting and maintenance services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares surfaces prior to painting and hand brushes, roll paints, or spray paints building, areas, equipment, furniture, and other surfaces.
Determines type and kind of materials needed, time allowance between coats and the number of coats required, adequacy of surface preparation and areas to be painted.
Applies primer, sealer and undercoats to office interiors and applies finish and/or protective coats to walls and ceilings.
Thins material to proper consistency and mixes and matches paints to surface being painted.
Performs simple checks and procedures to defective equipment and takes corrective actions.
Transports tools and equipment to and from job or work sites.

Minimum Requirements of Education and Experience:
High school/GED preferred.
Two years’ experience in performing work related to building maintenance.
Completion of standard apprenticeship in the painting trade.&nbsp;
Minimal starting pay is $28,400 annually ($14.57 per hour). With additional experience pay increases to a maximum of $34,100.

Title: Adjunct Instructor – Civil and Construction Engineering Technology (Pool)
POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in an equitable environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground, online and hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences. Utilize the College’s learning management system to provide course materials to students. Submit updated department syllabus prior to the first day of class. Regularly check College email account and department mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours, except on weekends. Complete all required reports, such as attendance, Early Alerts, student progress reports, grade submissions, and administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the deadlines.
