The Upward Bound Summer Instructors are responsible to the Director of TRIO Programs.&nbsp; The primary purpose is to teach the Upward Bound students during the summer program in the approved subject area.&nbsp; The Upward Bound summer program provides summer instruction to the Upward Bound students to prepare them for the upcoming academic year.
Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Develop curriculum for the summer program for your subject area.</li>
<li>Teach morning courses daily from 8:00 am-12:00 pm for the core subject areas.&nbsp; Teach afternoon enrichment classes from 12:30 pm -2:30 pm.</li>

Required Qualifications:

Administer program activities by overseeing policies and providing sound leadership and management of Campus Police and Security. &nbsp;The Chief of Campus Police and Security is responsible for the organizing, planning, directing, and supervising the Campus Police, Security, and Parking activities. &nbsp;This position will also be responsible for developing and implementing safety programs, policies, training, and procedures to promote a strong safety culture, maintain a healthy work environment, and ensure compliance with all corporate, local, state, and federal safety requirements. Essential Job Duties:

      Chief of Police and Security
    

This is a full-time, academic year position reporting to the Dean of Health Sciences and assumes EMS programmatic instructional activities at the Dyersburg Campus and/or the Jimmy Naifeh Center in Covington. Duties include working with the Director of EMS and EMS Clinical Coordinator for coordination of student classroom and clinical field experiences.
Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Responsible for 30 credit hours of Teaching Load Equivalency (TLE) per academic year.&nbsp;</li>

      Learning Center Specialist-Part Time
    

This is a full-time, fiscal year contract in the Division of Arts, Sciences, &amp; Technologies. The position reports to the Dean of Arts, Sciences, &amp; Technologies and will be primarily stationed in the Dyer County, TN area. This position is grant funded.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach 30 hours (TLE) per academic year in Culinary Arts (or other closely related field as necessary).
Serve as the DSCC Culinary Arts advisor and director.
Ability to teach and manage multiple courses in an individualized setting.
Teach a range of ages from Dual Enrollment high school students to nontraditional, returning adults.
Recruit students from area high schools and from the community to make DSCC’s program viable and competitive.
Flexibility to teach evenings/weekends and/or off-campus courses as needed (requires the use of personal vehicle).
Practice a learning-centered educational philosophy and redesign courses to include research- based learning strategies including service-learning opportunities, learning communities, critical thinking skills, co-operative learning, and reading across the curriculum.
Develop web-enhanced courses for delivery in technology-enhanced classrooms/labs (such as interactive (Zoom) rooms), online, or in a hybrid mode, and using accessibility standards.
Become certified in and fully use the course management system for all classes.
Provide course materials and information in a format that is accessible for all students using current and approved standards.
Work with colleagues to assess the effectiveness of courses, analyze the results, develop and implement improvement plans, and document this information each semester in the form prescribed by DSCC.
