Title: HVAC Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY Under the supervision of the of the Manager of Facilities, the HVAC supervisor performs skilled trade-level (journeyman) repair and maintenance on refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, ventilation and air handling equipment. Required to install, maintain and repair electric, electronic and pneumatic controls systems with their supporting machinery, heating/air-conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of commercial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems that incorporate pneumatic, digital, and central energy management system controls. Job Summary:
This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction using integrative technologies.
Job Duties:
Teach courses via on ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities as assigned. Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment and distance-based courses as required. Submit class syllabus or update department syllabus at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of class or within seven days of the execution of contract. Regularly check your VSCC email and your departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours except on the weekend. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar. Complete required College trainings. Complete all required reports such as attendance, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions and administer and return surveys by the required deadlines. Advise the Department Chair at the earliest possibility if you are unable to teach a class. Attend meetings as requested by the Department Chair and/or Dean. Comply with all of the College’s and TBR’s policies and guidelines. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in music, audio production, or closely related field with three years of recording studio or related sound engineering experience. A discography or similar document demonstrating excellence in field is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Collegiate level teaching experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Pay Rate: $675 - $800 per credit hour

Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring and summer.
