Detailed Job Description
The Department of Management in the Saunders College of Business (SCB) invites applications for a full-time senior lecturer position starting in August 2025 in Supply Chain Management (SCM). The position includes supporting the SCM area by teaching courses in the field; service to the department, college, and profession; and maintaining industry connections. The Saunders College values collegial individuals who are excellent communicators, and innovative teachers who have demonstrated active industry participation. Responsibilities include teaching supply chain strategy and operations management courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level, as well as service to the college. This service includes client project acquisition and management for the supply chain capstone course, as well as student recruiting and supervision. This lecturer will spend 80% effort on teaching (normally 8 courses per year), leading, and coordinating, and 20% effort in providing service to the department and college by developing leads on capstone projects, serving on assigned committees, attending department and college meetings, participating in recruiting events, and handling other responsibilities as assigned. Candidates with a Ph.D. who also maintain AACSB Scholarly Academic standing receive one course release per year. Required Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum Education level: Masters from an AACSB-accredited institution; Ph.D. strongly preferred
• Minimum four (4) years of experience teaching Supply Chain material full-time in Higher Ed
• Proven ability to teach capstone/project-based courses, as well as additional SCM/decision sciences courses
• Demonstrated ability to leverage professional memberships and connections to recruit company sponsors for project-based work (e.g., capstones)
• Track record of advising students
• Expertise in the implementation and practical use of Enterprise Resource Planning systems
• At least two relevant ASCM or Professional Certifications (e.g., CPIM, DCSP, CTSC, Six Sigma)
• Ability to support the college's continuing commitment to fostering student belonging consistent with the Saunders value of Community
