As a concierge guide, you will analyze qualitative and quantitative data to enhance the SCAD experience for students, alumni, and families alike. You will refer students to the appropriate SCAD departments or resources, provide relevant contact information, and help students schedule key appointments. You will answer questions about various aspects of SCAD, such as residence life, meal plans, events, and transportation, and will monitor a dedicated phone line and concierge email account. You will proactively contact students about upcoming activities, important reminders, and opportunities for greater success and enhanced, personal well-being.
Among other duties, you will supervise student staff as needed, provide training, and approve time sheets. You will also participate in extended office hours—including weekends and evenings—when necessary to meet student needs and attend SCAD Signature Events on behalf of SCADcares.
The successful candidate demonstrates excellent communication, critical thinking, and multi-tasking skills; and posses a charming and positive demeanor. The ability to learn new software quickly is essential.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least one year of related professional experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hospitality, customer service, or student-facing experience
- Counseling or conflict resolution experience
Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
- Valid driver’s license
Travel Required:
- Less than 10%
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
