Job Summary
The primary purpose of the Computerized Manufacturing and Machining (CMM) Instructor is to provide quality instruction to students at Hopkinsville Community College.
Job Duties:
• Effectively teach and coordinate Computerized Manufacturing and Machining (CMM) courses via face-to-face, hybrid, and online instruction, and serve as the program coordinator. Campus location may vary.
• Responsible for program effectiveness, including student learning outcomes, continuous review, assessment, and development.
• Create and actively engage all areas of the CMM sector’s academic initiatives to include any credential audits and apprenticeship relationships within the community.
• Provide for and be actively involved in on-going evaluations, development, and enhancement of CMM offerings.
• Develop strategic plan for improving the CMM program to include scheduling, recruitment efforts to draw students into the CMM program offerings, advising, and advisory board effectiveness.
• Maintain community relations within the service area, and oversee an active advisory council for the CMM Program.
• Participate in academic and student enhancement activities, including student advising.
• Maintain and improve, through professional development, competence in discipline knowledge and instructional techniques.
• Participate in internal and external service activities (college committees, system committees, community relations).
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate degree and four years of related work experience in the field and/or appropriated apprenticeship.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality instruction, student learning, and instructional and institutional effectiveness.
• Demonstrated effective technology skills, communication skills (written and verbal), and organizational and human relations skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to the comprehensive community college concept and team management.
• Demonstrated commitment to the KCTCS/Hopkinsville Community College strategic plan
