The East Tennessee State University (ETSU) College of Public Health is seeking applications for a nationally recognized leader to serve as Chair in the Department of Community and Behavioral Health. The College is fully accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health. For over fifty years, the College has had a strong working relationship with a wide range of regional partners across the Appalachian Highlands, Tennessee, and the country. The College is one of five Colleges that make up ETSU Health.
With a strong regional focus, rich history, and deep commitment to educational excellence, the department’s educational programs include a BS in Public Health, a Master of Public Health and Doctor of Public Health degree. The Community and Behavioral Health Chair position is a 12-month faculty position at the level of associate or full professor (tenured or tenure-eligible) at the time of appointment.
Applicants should have a terminal degree in a field recognized within the discipline. They should also possess a faculty history consistent with appointment as an associate or full professor in a department. Significant experience with conducting and developing extramurally funded research and a solid record of teaching and scholarly activities is required. The successful candidate should expect to maintain an active research and teaching program with the ability to work collaboratively within the College and University.
