Job Summary

The Analytics and Research Specialist plays a pivotal role in advancing student success initiatives by conducting in-depth data analysis to identify and leverage statistical correlations. Through the synthesis of complex, multi-dimensional data, this position supports informed decision-making and institutional improvements using existing data warehouse models containing the entire student lifecycle.



Qualifications - Education

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (master’s preferred) such as social science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related discipline. Coursework in statistics, analytics, or data science is desirable.



Qualifications - Experience

Minimum of three years of relevant work experience in research design, data collection and correlation, statistical analysis, data analytics, and data visualization using tools like Tableau and Power BI. Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), and SQL-based query tools (e.g., BOE).



Qualifications - Skills

· Proficiency in creating analytical data sets, ERP systems, SQL, and statistical software packages.

· Expertise with applied statistics, including regression models.

· Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Qlik and programming languages (Python, Java)

· Expertise in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

· Knowledge of machine learning, big data (Hadoop, Spark) is preferred.

· Knowledge of ERP information systems (e.g., Colleague), database management, and SQL.

· Knowledge of institutional research and assessment in higher education.

· Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodology and the scientific method approach is preferred.

· Strong ethical behavior and integrity.
